Maybelline – Color Sensational 168 Petal Pink
I decided to do a swatch because the colour in the tube looked completely different on camera
I had been thinking about getting a barbie pink lipstick for a while and when I was left in the Maybelline stand, I saw this shade and thought it was too pretty to not try. I absolutely love the colour, the only way to describe is Barbie Pink, and even though it is Barbie Pink it is not too neon and in your face, but it has the right balance. The lasting power is ok, it does have to be reapplied at some points in the day, but that is mainly after eating or drinking. I’ve kind of fell in love with the Maybelline lipsticks, as I think they’re quite moisturising and the quality of the colour is brilliant and at a price of £6.99, you can’t go wrong really.
Maybelline – SuperStay Better Skin Foundation 005 Light Beige
It takes a lot for me to love a foundation, as I find it difficult to find a foundation that doesn’t turn me orange and doesn’t cling to any dry patches, as I can’t seem to find one that does both; not that I’ve tried a lot, but the ones that I have tried wouldn’t fit both criteria’s. I haven’t noticed the better skin in three weeks, but that might have something to do with the fact that it hasn’t been three weeks yet. I’d say the coverage is normal to full, but it isn’t heavy to the point where you look caked in foundation. I use two pumps and that is plenty. The foundation costs £8.99, so can’t complain.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo – On and On Bronze
I have done a post on these, so I won’t go into too much detail, but I decided to include this because I have started to wear it a lot, because it is such a pretty colour that you can dress up or dress down. You can wear it own its own or use it as a base. The staying power is brilliant, the quality is brilliant and at £4.99 it is a brilliant price.
Maybelline – Lash Sensational
I’m sure that everyone has heard lots about this mascara as it is everywhere, but as a person with really short natural lashes, I can say that I love this, as it actually makes the lashes look longer. I always used to use an eyelash curler, but with this I don’t have to use it, as lashes look brilliant without using it. It doesn’t clump, but makes lashes look longer and also thicker. The price of this was covered when I was shopping, but it isn’t too expensive at £7.99
Rimmel – Scandal Eyes Precision Mirco Eyeliner Waterproof
I used to use this liner a good couple of years ago, until I moved on to other things, but the time when the eyeliner I had actually set off to buy wasn’t in stock, I got this instead. When I wear this it doesn’t smudge, after a while the black line in the crease, but that’s about as far as it goes for smudging. The lasting power is also really good, as I slept in makeup (I know it isn’t good, but it happened), and the eyeliner was still on and still looked just as dark as it did the day beforeand had only smudged a little bit. This costs £5.49
River Island – Purse
If there’s one thing I love it is nice/cute purses, if you’re curious to see my current purse, there’s a picture on my instagram (little bit of self promo there), but I love this, as I think it’ll be perfect in the summer, as the purse is so vibrant and the gold detailing is lovely. There are two pockets that would be good for notes, a lot of card spaces, and then a zipped space at the back for changes. When I was in the store all of the other purses were £16 or around that mark, but this was £10, so I think it is quite a good bargain.
I think that’ll do, looking back over the post it is 90% Maybelline; can you guess which brand is my favourite? I promise to do a post soon that isn’t a favourites! (The lighting was terrible when I took these, it decided to go dark and when I had took all of the photos it had brightened up again, and that just sums up the type of day I’ve had)
Thank you for reading!
