Blogmas Day 14: How to Manage Blogmas

Blogging everyday isn’t easy, it’s a lot of work, but of course there are things you can do to make it easier for yourself. I had my first nine posts planned and ready, but I’m not so prepared anymore. Which is annoying because I know what I need to do, but finding the time to do it isn’t easy.

In this post, I’m going to go through some tips that should make blogging everyday a little easier.

Write Your Ideas Down

I started writing a list of ideas to write about earlier in the month, and it was amazing how much more inspiration that gave me. Something about jotting my ideas down, led to many more. Plus this stops you from forgetting, and let’s be real; during blogmas the more ideas the better.

Take Photos in Bulk

If you know what you’re going to be writing about, taking photos is much easier. Winter isn’t the easiest season to take photos in, as natural lighting isn’t easy to come by, so if you have the opportunity to take photos then take advantage of it. If you have your photos ready in advance this also gives you time to retake them later, if you aren’t completely happy with them. I always feel a little less stressed when I know I don’t have pictures to take.

You Don’t Need to Drown in Festive Spirit

This is a long way of saying ‘Not every post has to be about Christmas’. I love Christmas, but festive posts can be really hard to keep up with. Plus I think it’s always better to have a mix, as it keeps everything fresh and will stop you from burning out.

You Don’t Need to Spend A Lot

Christmas is an expensive time, so the last thing you want to do is spend even more on your blog. You don’t need to splash the cash to have a good blogmas. The only thing I’ve spent extra so far is on my baking post, as I needed to buy the Chocolate Oranges.

Have Fun

This is the last, but most important. Blogmas is a challenge, but blogging should never feel like a chore. If it’s stressing you out, don’t feel ashamed to take a break and try again when you’re ready.

I hope this helps you, if you’re struggling with blogmas.

Have you ever tried Blogging everyday?

Thank you for reading!

It is so easy to feel over whelmed when you start focusing on festive posts, but it’s so important not to compare yourself! You do you. Happy Holidays lovely xx

Honestly I don’t think I’d ever be able to Blogmas it seems so much work and I’m not the most creative person in the world so I feel like I’d be stuck on ideas. I would like to try it one year though. I’ve learnt about the bulk photo taking this month as the lighting has been so hit and miss, such an important tip

I really admire anyone who can do Blogmas! I have a full-time job so I struggle enough with just doing one post a week. These are some really great tips, though! I especially agree with the one about taking photos in bulk, it’s a must, especially this time of year when good natural lighting is non-existent! xoxo

It’s so time consuming to do, but work definitely comes first! I’m glad you think so. Getting photos done is so hard at this time of year isn’t it, the lightening just doesn’t agree!xx

Cheers for doing Blogmas. One year, I’d like to participate but I am just way too busy this year. with work, class, freelance gigs, ugh. I usually take photos in bulk due to my chaotic schedule, it really helps. So, I love your tips. <3 /Madison
