Blogmas Day 22: December Bucket List Update

This might be a very strange time to do my update, but I’m planning on having a break from posting after Blogmas, so I want to get this in now. You may (probably not) remember my December Bucket List from earlier on in the month. In that post I set myself 10 goals that I would like to get done by the end of the month.

Spoiler alert: It didn’t exactly go to plan.

It mainly didn’t go to plan because of Blogmas. I’ve found myself writing my posts daily, which is why they seem to be getting later and later. I simply haven’t had time to do any in bulk after my initial few, which has really took my time away from anything else.

Anyway let’s get into my December Bucket list update.

Go to the Garden Centre

I managed to do this, and I would have had a lot more photos of it on my Instagram stories if my phone wasn’t on 5%. Visiting a garden centre at Christmas is a must for me, as I love seeing all of the decorations. It’s always so festive, and the displays are the cutest. I will admit that I don’t buy anything, as the prices are always really high, but it’s nice to look at.

Spend a Night Binge Watching Christmas Films

I haven’t done this, but I’m a terrible film person anyway. You name the film and I haven’t seen it, so it was a bit of a stretch to achieve this. I do think I would have done this, if I wasn’t working on my blog in the evenings, but I’m hoping on watching some tomorrow or Christmas Eve.

Decorate My Room

This one hasn’t really happened exactly how I hoped, but I have had a new addition of a sign that says ‘Ho Ho Ho’ and it lights up; which is cute.

Do Some Christmas Baking

I thought I’d be able to do more baking this month, but the time has flown. I made Chocolate Orange Brownies,  but I want to make some cookies too. I’m planning on doing them on Christmas Eve, so hopefully everything goes to plan.

Don’t Leave Christmas Shopping Until Last Minute

I didn’t think I had done this, but then Peter Kay cancelled his tour; which meant I hadn’t got my mum anything. I ended up finishing my shopping on the 20th, but I still haven’t finished wrapping.

Go to Christmas Markets

We were supposed to go to the markets at the end of November, but some of my family fell sick, so we had to put it back until tomorrow. This will be getting done, just a lot later than originally planned. I’m still really excited to go, but slightly dreading how busy it will be.

See The Christmas Pantomime

We haven’t ended up doing this, and I think it might be a little late to do it now, but that’s okay.

Go for a Drive to See Others Christmas Lights

I feel like I’ve done this, as I’ve been nipping out a lot, and seeing lots of Christmas lights in the process. I love seeing what other people have done with their lights, and it really helps to get in the festive spirit; especially if there’s Christmas music playing in the car.

Listen to Christmas Music

I don’t really feel like I’ve listened to too much Christmas music, but I am currently listening to it now, and it’s been on at times, so I can’t complain. I’ve been loving All Alone on Christmas by Darlene Love this year. What Christmas songs do you love?

Donate to Charity

At the start of the month I had a clear out in my wardrobe, and donated two black bags full of clothes to the Dougie Mac. I love supporting Douglas Macmillan, as they did a great job caring for my Grandad, and I want to give back anyway that I can.

That is an update on mow my Bucket List has gone. Overall it hasn’t gone too badly I guess!

Have you managed to get done everything you wanted to?

Thank you for reading!

You can most definitely cross the binging of Christmas films off of your list before Christmas! Get out your unwrapped presents, and wrap them in front of a film – super festive and cosy! xx
