I was lucky enough to receive my first VoxBox from Influenster; full of Bourjois goodies. If you’re unsure of what Influenster is, it is a site where you review products and in return you may be chosen to receive a ‘VoxBox’ in order to test the products and review the contents. This box is based on #HolidayLooks with Bourjois.
This was the first foundation that I ever fell in love with, so I was ecstatic to try it out all over again. I am pretty sure that the formula has changed, but the foundation is still amazing. It isn’t full coverage, but you can easily build it up without it looking cakey. This has a dewy finish, and it lasts all day without oxidising. The formula has a Vitamin Mix too, which is great for those of us with dry skin.
When I first started using this I was afraid it wasn’t going to be lighter than the foundation, so I couldn’t use it for highlighting under my eyes. However it is great for highlighting and it covers up my bags too, so you really can’t complain. I always set my concealer with powder, and it never creases. Both the foundation and the concealer have a fruity scent. It’s a little like sun-cream you’d get as a kid, and I personally love it. If you are sensitive to these kinds of scents then that is something to note.
I always feel the need to explain myself, but contrary to my blog name, I don’t wear blush. My face has a natural redness to it, and I wear foundation to cover it, so I don’t need the added blush. I have experimented with this, but I think I’ll be passing it over to my mum who loves a bit of blush.
I would advise going in with a light hand, as it is really pigmented. Which means a little goes a long way.. It’s also got shimmer in it, so if shimmer pink blush is your thing then you will love this. The packaging is really cute too, as the pot is a beautiful shade of pink and it has a little mirror inside. You also get a little brush, which doesn’t really pick up a lot of product, but I guess that’s good for this blush.
Who doesn’t love a good quad?! This is such a great size, and I feel like it’s sturdy enough to travel with, which is a plus. I love this colour selection and I think they’re great colours for this season. You can get a gorgeous smoky eye for Christmas Parties. It does come with one of those sponge brushes, but I may have accidentally thrown it away before I took the photo. The colours blend really easily, and I’m a little bit in love with the glitter in the middle!
I’m not going to lie, this isn’t the best mascara I’ve tried, but it’s not the worst. I find this mascara works best if it’s paired with another one. I use this one first, and then add a layer of something else. This mascara doesn’t give my lashes a curl, which is something that I look for. A good point is that it doesn’t crumble and it doesn’t transfer.
This is my first time jumping on the metallic lips trend, and I’m surprised by how much I like it. I was a little unsure about whether or not these would be drying, but they aren’t. The applicator makes these really easy to apply too, as it’s shaped like a paddle and it’s soft too. I’ve never had a problem of getting this everywhere. These are going to be perfect for the holiday season. You can even apply them over a lipstick to get a metallic finish.
Top to Bottom: 300, 500 and 100
A huge thank you to Influenster for sending me this, as I love it!
