My blog turned 3 way back at the start of January. Which isn’t really way back, but we love a dramatic opening. I can’t believe I’ve stuck with this for three years now, I’ve had a few wobbles here and there, but I’ve pushed through.
Initially I was planning to do a What I’ve Learnt in Three Years of Blogging, but I struggled with knowing what to put so gave it a miss.
Just recently I have gone through every single blog post of mine, and updated it slightly. Mainly because I found out about an SEO plugin very late. If you’d like to hear more about that plugin, let me know and I’ll talk about in detail in a blog post. That inspired me to share my photography progress, as it sure has changed over the years.
The First Post
My first post was an introduction, that has had a little editing since I published it, but I still wouldn’t say it’s my best work. (It’s mainly just a plug to my other socials)
After that I started how I meant to go on. With an ever favourite Boots Haul. I published this on the 10th January 2015; which seems a lifetime ago. I was in my final year of college at the time, and looking for a hobby.
I used to and still take all of my photos on my phone, but I used to have an 5C. You can actually see the reflection of it in the photo, so bonus points if you can tell me what colour it was. I took all of my photos on my vanity, which has a glass top; hence the reflection. All of my photos are now taken on my bed, as it’s right by the window; which is great for natural lighting.
I feel like I have grown with my blog, and learnt so much. I’ve always had a love for baking, but never really did anything with it, but having somewhere to document it, really inspired me to do it more. The reaction to those posts is always really heart warming too, and I’m planning to get back into it ASAP.
Anyone who says Blogging is easy, obviously hasn’t done it. It’s not just five minutes typing up a post, and ten minutes taking photos and then you’re done. It is the worst misconception, as it’s a whole lot more than that. I really don’t know how daily bloggers do it, as Blogmas nearly killed me, and that was only 24 posts. Fair to say I will not be putting myself through that again this year.
I’d also like to say a big thank you to those who follow me, leave comments, and overall support me. I really appreciate it, and I love hearing all of your thoughts and opinions too.
That’s it! Happy Third Birthday to Luxuryblush, and hopefully there are many more to come!
When did you star Blogging? How did you find my blog? That’s something I’ve always been a little curious of.
That was Three Years of Blogging!
Thank you for reading!
