In my 24 Things to do Before 24 blog post, I mentioned wanting to visit more place in the UK, so I thought I would put together a list of places I want to visit. As that will give me the push to actually get something organised. There are more places that I could probably list, but I don’t want this post to get too long.
This is my UK Travel Bucket List.
York has always caught my eye for its quaint streets and rich history. I may have surprised my boyfriend with a weekend away for his birthday and we decided on York, so this one should be getting ticked off soon. I’m looking forward to exploring the city, and I can’t go to York and not have a Yorkshire Pudding right?
I’ve never visited Scotland before, but after seeing people’s travel photos from Edinburgh it looks like a lovely city. It’s also been voted the best city break in Scotland, so it must be good. It’s also dripping in history and seems like an amazing city to get out and explore. I mean where else can you see a castle sat on-top of an extinct volcano?
I visited Liverpool for the first time for my Sister in laws hen do last year, and it seems like a great city. It would be nice to get the chance to go back and be able to explore properly. The docks look like such a nice area, and I can imagine that it’d be lovely in the summer to spend time in the bars having cocktails.
Bath is somewhere that I have wanted to visit for ages, but I just haven’t had the chance. With living in the midlands, its about three hours away by car and even longer by train. Even though I’m sure exploring the city would be so worth it. I’ve seen a lot of blog posts about Bath, and I would love to be able to experience it for myself. Especially seeing the Roman Baths.
I have never been to Leeds, so would love to have a weekend there. Even though I must admit that I’d love to visit for a night-out, but a visit to the Corn Exchange seems like a must, as it looks very beautiful. If you have any recommendations of things to do then I would love to hear them.
There we have it, that was my UK Travel Bucket List. If you have been to any of those places, then I would love some recommendations on what to see and do.
Do you have a favourite UK City?
