Can you believe that we’re halfway through the year already? To put it simply 2020 has been wild, and it’s certainly not been the year that I thought it was going to be. Even though I have learnt a lot and definitely had my eyes opened. Every time I do a yearly goals post, I like to do a little update half way through the year, just so I can check how I’m getting on and share the results with you.
This is my 2020 Goals Update.
Is it weird that I feel emotional about this? I remember feeling so bad about myself back in January because I was the biggest I have ever been. Flash forward to now and I have lost weight. Altogether I have lost one stone and two pounds, and I could cry with happiness. This goal has made the list every year for as long as I can remember, but this is the first time I have put the effort in and tried. I’m just so proud of myself; that it’s finally happened.
Continue to Learn How to Cook
I have loved cooking this year, even if it does stress me out. Even though I don’t post what I’ve cooked on my blog, I do tend to post the outcome over on my Instagram stories. I always thought cooking was more difficult than it actually is, it’s more time management than anything really.
Completely Use Up a Powder Product
This was going well until lockdown happened. I’ve barely worn makeup the past couple of months, so I’ve not been making progress on any products. I have hit pans on a couple of eyeshadows and one highlighter, but when I have worn makeup I’ve always rotated what I’ve used. Which means not making any progress to using something up.
Drink Less Fizzy Drinks
I’m still terrible for this, and I know it’s bad. I have made an effort to cut back, but it’s not gone very well. I’ve made an effort to drink more water by getting one of those bottles with times on it, and I’ve found a squash that I love. The squash is Raspberry and Cranberry from Robinsons Fruit Creations and I would highly recommend it. Now I just need to reach for that instead of the Pepsi Max.
Shop My Stash
This is what I’ve been doing instead of trying to completely use a product up. I’ve been experimenting with different palettes instead of sticking to the same one. As I must admit that I am terrible for using the same eyeshadow palette all of the time when I have others in my collection that need using. I now make the effort to use something I haven’t used in a while which I much prefer to sticking to the same thing all of the time.
There we have it that was my 2020 goals update. I don’t think I’m doing to bad this time around, now I just need to keep at it for the rest of the year.
Did you set yourself any goals for the year?
