The Retro Review Update
If you are an absolute bath product addict like me, you’ll know that keeping your stash fully stocked can get expensive. Way back when my collection was running critically low, I decided to step outside my usual drugstore routines and place my very first order with Bomb Cosmetics to see if they could actually rival Lush.
Looking back at this haul from the archives, I had so much fun testing out their creative designs (including bath bombs shaped like actual cupcakes and donuts!). I’ve left my original, honest first impressions below so you can see exactly how they stacked up.
My Original Bomb Cosmetics First Impressions
If there is one thing I absolutely love, it’s a good bath bomb. When my personal collection was starting to run a little bit low, I decided it was the perfect excuse to try out Bomb Cosmetics for the very first time.
Honestly, browsing their website left me completely spoiled for choice. Everything they do is just so incredibly cute, and they are significantly more affordable than Lush, so I was really looking forward to seeing how the two brands compare in the water.
Let’s get straight into the breakdown of my very first Bomb Cosmetics haul!
The Bath Blasters
A “Bath Blaster” is simply how Bomb Cosmetics branding describes a traditional bath bomb. They are packed full of essential oils and fizz away beautifully in the water, leaving gorgeous colours behind. Here are the ones that made it into my basket:
All That Glitters

I’m already looking forward to giving this one a go, as I absolutely love a vibrant pink bath bomb. All That Glitters contains sweet orange and bergamot essential oils, but the actual overall scent is a beautiful, juicy cherry. The blaster has been dipped in sanding sugar to give it an extra layer of sparkle, and that lovely white swirl on top is made from nourishing cocoa and shea butter.
Blueberry Funday
Discontinued

Blue is one of my absolute favourite colours to see in the bath water, so I couldn’t leave this one behind! Blueberry Funday contains sweet orange and neroli oils with a distinct blueberry scent. It actually reminds me a little bit of blackcurrant sweets, so I am getting major The Comforter vibes from Lush here. Just like the previous one, the decorative pink swirl on top is made from moisturizing cocoa and shea butter.
Cotton Candy
Discontinued

As soon as I spotted this one on the screen, I added it straight to my basket without hesitation. I love the bright pink design, the gentle sprinkle of glitter on top, and the sweet scent profile pulled me in straight away. Cotton Candy has fragrance notes of marshmallow, strawberry, sugar, and caramel. It is definitely on the very sugary, sweet side, but I absolutely love it.
Fuchsia Falls
Discontinued

This one does look a little bit different in person compared to the stock picture on the website, as my blaster seems to be missing the pink glitter dusting across the top. Saying that, the delicate pastel flowers pressed into the side still give it a really cute finish. Fuchsia Falls contains lavender and rose essential oils, making it the perfect choice for a deeply relaxing, calming bath.
Strawberry and Banana Milkshake
Renamed as: Sip me Baby One More Time

How adorable is this design? I love that it steps away from the traditional round shape and instead looks like a little bakery cupcake. I am, however, a little bit disappointed by the scent on this one. I was fully expecting a fruity strawberry and banana explosion, but it actually contains jasmine and clary sage, and these heavy floral scents completely take over the fragrance.
Raspberry Pav-Lover
Limited Edition

Another incredibly fun, novelty shape! This time, we have a rather large, chunky donut blaster. I love the detailed pink piping in the centre and the colourful candy sprinkles scattered across the top. This one has a lovely fruity scent, I’m getting lots of fresh raspberry, but there are also subtle notes of grapes, pears, and blueberries. It contains ylang-ylang and bergamot essential oils.
The Bath Mallows
Bath Mallows are small bath melts formulated with a heavy base of cocoa butter, shea butter, and essential oils. They melt much slower than a standard blaster to deeply hydrate dry skin.

Cherry Pie on the left and Little Bo Peep on the right
Cherry Pie
Discontinued
This one might actually be my absolute favourite scent of the entire haul! It is a beautiful, warm, fruity fragrance that strongly reminds me of freshly baked cookies, but it still feels very cherry-led. Cherry Pie also features notes of coconut and smooth white chocolate. The design is also incredibly sweet, featuring a pastel pink base and decorative pink beads.
Little Bo Peep
While I don’t enjoy the actual scent of this one quite as much as Cherry Pie, I am completely obsessed with the visual design. The vibrant hot pink shade makes a lovely backdrop for the softer pastel pink decorations. I mean, how cute is that little bow on top? Little Bo Peep contains grounding sandalwood and ylang-ylang essential oils.
The Final Verdict: Bomb Cosmetics vs. Lush
Looking back at this introduction to Bomb Cosmetics, it completely transformed how I looked at bath time on a budget.
While Lush will always hold a special place in my heart for their massive, dramatic bath art, Bomb Cosmetics absolutely wins when it comes to skin hydration. Because so many of their blasters include those cocoa and shea butter swirls, they leave your skin feeling like you’ve already applied body lotion straight out of the tub. Plus, for the price point, you really can’t beat them for everyday pampering.
That was everything from my Bomb Cosmetics Haul.
