We have recently had some really good weather here in the UK which doesn’t happen often! We are also now in Spring which for me means a lighter lip colours, so the dark plums and berries are put to the side and the pinks are whipped out. I’ve picked out eight lip colours that are perfect for Spring.
This is: ‘The Perfect Spring Lip Colours’.
Urban Decay | Backtalk Comfort Matte Lipstick
This is a recent addition to my collection, but it’s a good one! The formula is amazing it really is a comfort matte, as it isn’t drying at all and I often forget that it’s there. Backtalk is one of those lipsticks that is perfect for any occasion, so I expect to get loads of wear out of this. Urban Decay describe this as a mauve nude-pink, it’s definitely a medium rosy pink with a subtle warm undertone. This lipstick is really pigmented, and it applies easily, and evenly without dragging at the lips.
I’ve fallen in love with Urban Decay lipsticks, and I have a post of my collection.
Too Faced | Melted Peony
I haven’t worn this lipstick in so long, as I’ve been reaching for darker colours, but this is such a pretty pink colour. It has a Satin finish which means it isn’t too drying. Too Faced describe this a dusty rose and I find that it is a light-medium muted pink. I also find these really easy to carry about, as they’re large enough to be able to find in your handbag, but they aren’t massive! (Just be sure to put the lid on properly)
NYX | Soft Matte Lip Cream Zurich
Zurich is a stunning rosy nude with a coral undertone. It is perfect for an everyday look, as it goes with just about everything. This dries down to a matte finish, but it isn’t drying, as it’s a light air whipped formula which applies easily.
MAC | Angel Frost Lipstick
This is my first and only frost lipstick from MAC, but I love it. It can be applied to look sheer, or built up for a stronger colour which both look stunning! Angel is described as a warm pink with a pearl finish. I’ve also heard that Kim Kardashian wears this lipstick, but who knows!
NYX | Butter Gloss Vanilla Cream Pie
Not a lipstick, but sometimes a gloss can be enough or used to add that finishing touch to a lipstick! Vanilla Cream Pie is a sheer pale pink lip gloss that sits comfortably on the lips, as it is hydrating. This is perfect for those days you want to keep things neutral.
Charlotte Tilbury | Pillow Talk
This is a limited edition lipstick that was released for Valentines Day, but everybody has gone mad for this, so hopefully it get’s bought out again or added to the permanent line! I bought this along with the lip cheat, so I can wear them together, as I know this colour has been brought out in a lipstick because the lip liner is so well-loved. This lipstick has a matte formula, but I don’t find it to be drying at all. Pillow Talk to be a neutral pink-nude.
Rimmel | Kate Moss 38
I love the Kate Moss lipstick range and I definitely don’t reach for it enough, but this colour is stunning. Peach seems to be huge at the moment and this lipstick fits right into that. It’s really pigmented. I find that it doesn’t last all day compared to some of the other lip products mentioned here, but that’s okay. I feel like I had forgotten about this lipstick, so I’m happy to finally have it back out again!
Essence | 02 Cute Nude
I love Essence lipsticks purely because they are super cheap, but work really well. Don’t get me wrong they don’t last all day, but they are really moisturising and easy to apply. Cute Nude is in the Sheer and Shine range, and as I’m looking at this swatched on the back of my hand it looks like a gloss, as it has that shine and it is definitely sheer, but easily built up to a stronger colour. Cute Nude is a pale peachy pink-nude colour which is perfect for everyday when you don’t want to be wearing a dry lip product!
