I was recently contacted by the lovely people over at Crown Brush to try some of their products, and I couldn’t be happier as they have plenty of different gorgeous things on offer. I’ve heard plenty of good things about the brushes with some claiming they make excellent dupes for MAC ones.
I picked three things to try:
- The 523 Purple Brush set
- 35 Rose Gold Eye Shadow Palette
- Pro Lip Stain in the shade Dusty Rose
It’s also worth noting that they arrived beautifully packaged. In pink tissue paper with a tiny silver ribbon tied in a bow for detail.
I originally went for the white and blue ones, but as they were out of stock I went for these instead. They are the same, just purple and white. I’m really happy I got the purple ones as they’re gorgeous!
The brushes arrive in a purple case patent case that seems like it’ll be hard to get dirty which is always a plus. The case also contains a decent sized mirror, so it will be great to take on the go, as you can keep your brushes secure too and have a mirror!
The set contains six brushes and a pair of tweezers, the brushes are:
- A Powder Brush
- A Tapered Blush Brush
- A Deluxe Contour Brush
- A Chisel Shadow Brush
- A Crease Blender Brush
- A Detail Liner Brush
I love a good eye shadow palette, and I had seen a few other people rave about this palette, so I knew I wanted to try it for myself. The shades seem to have a similar vibe to the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette, don’t get me wrong this isn’t a dupe, but I can see a resemblance in some of the shades.
As there are 35 different colours in this palette, it is so easy to create plenty of different looks for any occasion. There is also a really nice mix of mattes and shimmers. This is more of a warm toned palette with warm golds, browns, pinks and oranges. I’m already excited for Autumn as this seem like a perfect palette for the season.
This is similar to a liquid lipstick as it gives a matte finish, but it is supposed to feel a lot lighter on the lips. I’m guessing that the lasting power will be amazing, considering it is a stain. The colour is gorgeous pink brown, that reminds me a little of Whirl by MAC. I will be sure to report back with how I go on with the drying/ lasting power and how easy it is to remove!
Again a huge thank you to Crown Brush for sending these over!
