When I had a look through my makeup collection, trying to gather some inspiration for a post I found my Essence lipsticks that I really need to wear more. They’re affordable, but work extremely well!
I have lipsticks from the Sheer & Shine and Long Lasting range. The packaging differs slightly between the ranges, but all of the lipsticks have an ‘e’ engraved into them. Want to hear the best part? The most expensive lipstick in this post costs £2.30!
The lipsticks in this range cost £2, and the formula is exactly what the name would suggest. If you like matte lipsticks then this is not the range for you, this is more of a tinted lip balm. They do start out with hardly any pigment, but after a couple of swipes they build up.
This is a peachy nude with a tiny bit of shimmer. I included this lipstick in my Spring lipstick picks, as this colour is perfect for that season.
As you’ll be able to see from the swatches this colour is extremely similar to Cute Nude, as they practically look the same. Candy Love is a pale medium pink.
Out of my collection this is the colour that is most unlike the others. This is definitely a lipstick that is perfect for Autumn, and I included this in last years blogmas post on red lipsticks. This is a berry colour with plum undertones.
I think I have a habit of picking similar coloured lipsticks, because this is in the same area as Cute Nude and Candy Love, but this one is a pale coral. I’d say this one is especially sheer, and is perfect for Summer when you want something light.
Left to Right: Cute Nude, Candy Love, I Feel Pretty and All About Cupcake
These lipsticks are definitely more of a satin finish, so it isn’t as long-lasting as a matte formula would be, but the satin finish makes it a lot more comfortable to wear. I found this lipstick to be hydrating and pigmented. This range costs £2.30
This is my favourite from my collection, as I love the ‘My Lips, but Better’ Lipstick which this lipstick is. Barely there is a perfect colour for everyday use, as it’s a nude with mauve tones to it.
That is my Essence lipstick collection! Overall Essence lipsticks are definitely worth it, if you don’t mind reapplying throughout the day. You really can’t grumble when the price is so low! I found Essence makeup in Wilko’s, as it’s not in Superdrug or Boots.
Have you tried an Essence lipstick?
