Empties # 12

Believe it or not, I really enjoy empties posts. I know it’s hard to believe, considering they’re few and far between on my blog. However we have made it to empties # 12, which is something at least. It’s just that I don’t like to include products that I’ve previously gone over or there would be a Body Shop body yogurt in every single post. There’s only so many times you can make a moisturiser sound interesting… she says having two scrubs in this post.

This is empties # 12.

Fenty | Pro Filt’r Setting Powder

This powder has finally made it’s way from my Project Pan to product empties, and I am so happy about it. Don’t get me wrong it’s a fantastic powder, but it had been in my collection for too long. Focusing on panning makeup has made me a lot more conscious of how quickly it expires, and I want to use things whilst they’re fresh and not dying a slow painful death. Anyway back to the powder. I love how this never made me look dry, and I never had the fatal flashback.

Repurchase?: I’d like to try other things, but possibly sometime in the future.

Lights Lacquer | Serendipity and Paper Snow

I remember the day when finishing a nail polish seemed like a far away dream. Now I may have only finished four in my life, but I’ll take it. These two have been my go to colours ever since they arrived into my collection. Serendipity is a classic red with a slight pink undertone. I think a classic red is a must in any collection, as it’s suitable for every occasion. Paper Snow is a true white, which I absolutely adore in the summer. Or in fact any time I have a tan, as I think that it is such a beautiful combination. Both of these require two coats, and need reapplying weekly as they do chip. As much as I love these shades, I just cannot justify the costs. As Lights Lacquer is an American company so there are custom charges to get to the UK.

Repurchase?: No, I cannot justify the price with added customs.

The Inkey List | Omega Water Cream

This product was previously gifted, but all opinions are my own.

This is a lightweight water based moisturiser that is oil free. I used this in the morning, as I found I needed something a little more heavy duty for night-time. Which wasn’t a bad thing, as this slotted into my morning routine perfectly and makeup always sat on it really well. I never had any problems, and I really enjoyed using it. This moisturiser contains: Niacinamide, betaine glycerin and omega fatty acids. These help to hydrate the skin and to lock in moisture.

Repurchase?: Definitely!

Dove | Exfoliating Body Scrub  

I am pretty sure that I was desperate for a body scrub, and picked this up in my local Tesco. Which I will admit is not usually the first place I go to for skincare, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I enjoyed using this, it has a creamy whipped texture that sweeps across the skin, and removes dull and dry looking skin. Which is great! However, I tend to need quite a heavy duty scrub to remove fake tan and this was not that. It struggled to remove tan in the more stubborn areas, and I found myself having to go over it a lot. Which meant I flew through the tub, and it didn’t last very long at all. A big positive is the scent, I absolutely adore it. It’s sweet and feels like a typical Dove scent. Overall this is a great scrub if you’re looking for something gentle.

Repurchase?: I need a scrub that’s strong enough to remove fake tan, and this is not that. Which means it’s a no.

Soap and Glory | Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub

This scrub is a blast from the past. Not this exact tub, just to clarify, but I used to love this when I was a teenager. Soap and Glory is one of the first skincare brands that I got into, and it still holds a special place in my heart. This scrub smells incredible and is total breakfast vibes. Especially if your breakfast involves bananas, almond, honey or maple. It’s a delicious scent that I never get tired of. The scrub it’s self doesn’t dry my skin out, but leaves it feeling smooth. It’s a good one to prep for fake tan, but not quite there to get it off. However this one has nostalgia, and we all know that, that tops pretty much everything.

Repurchase?: Not right now, but I wouldn’t be surprised if more Soap and Glory sneaks its way into my collection in the future.
