I have wanted to created my own tag for the longest time, and it’s finally happened! Who knew that it would take lockdown for me to actually do it. In case you’re wondering what a tag is, it’s basically a list of questions, you answer them and tag other people to answer them to. I’m not going to tag anybody specifically, but feel free to take part.
I wanted to keep the questions lighthearted, as this is a bit fun and nothing too serious.
This is the Lockdown Tag!
1 . Come On, Own up… Did You Stock Pile Anything?
I didn’t stockpile anything, so it was a shock to go to the supermarket and see the empty shelves. It also made shopping for my Nan really difficult, as we struggled to find long life milk.
2. Have You Discovered a New Hobby?
Surprisingly yes. When lockdown started I thought I’d be putting a lot more effort into my blog, but I actually ended up doing a lot of cooking and baking. I’ve also got really into fitness, and workout everyday. Which is something I never thought I’d say.
3. Where is the First Place You Will Go Once the Restrictions are 100% Lifted?
The obvious answer is to see family and friends. Other than that, it’s probably going to be somewhere for food and cocktails because boy have I missed it.
4. Loungewear or Normal Clothes For A Day of Isolating?
I have been getting dressed as usual because staying in loungewear all day does nothing for my mental health. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting around the house in jeans… I’ve not completely lost the plot.
5. Have You Been Wearing Makeup Whilst Staying at Home?
More times than not I haven’t been wearing makeup. When I have worn it, I’ve actually really enjoyed using different products. As before lockdown I got into a rut of using the same products.
6. How Many Zoom Quizzes Have You Done? And Importantly, Did You Enjoy Them?
I’ve done six altogether, and really enjoyed them! It does get hard though as it can be tough to know what to talk about when everyday has been the same.
7. Did You Give into the Hype and Bake Your Own Banana Bread?
This is something that I haven’t done, but I have been baking cookies and cakes instead.
8. Were You Still Ordering Takeaways? If You Did, What Was Your First One?
The first takeawayI had during lockdown was from Papa Johns and it took three hours to arrive. I wish I was being dramatic.
9. Has Your Blog/ Instagram Content Had to Change Since Lockdown?
My Instagram content hasn’t changed, as I post beauty flatlays which don’t require going outside. Blogwise it’s changed a little, as I’ve posted some lockdown related content and my April favourites contained a lot less makeup to usual.
10. Are You Waiting Until the Hairdressers Re-Open or Have you Cut/ Dyed your Own Hair?
I’m waiting. I dyed my hair brown last year which means I don’t get dark roots anymore. Which means my hair doesn’t really need doing, I’ve been wanting balayage for a while now, but that’s not something I need to get booked in ASAP.
11. Who Have You Missed Seeing The Most?
It has to be my boyfriend: Jake. We had to socially distance separately due to work and family circumstances, so we went a long time without seeing each other. It hasn’t been easy, but keeping others safe had to be a priority.
There we have it!
That was The Lockdown Tag, and my first tag done and dusted. Even though I wanted to keep it lighthearted, a big thank you goes out to all of the key workers.
Thank you for reading, and stay safe.
