A BOY!
Early on in the pregnancy I had a dream that we were having a girl, so I’d convinced myself that’s what we were having. I went over this a little bit in my first trimester post. Which means it was a lovely surprise to find out that we’re actually having a boy. I’ve always said I don’t mind which way it goes, as they’ll be loved either way.

At the start of my pregnancy practically everyone thought we were having a boy, but I think I managed to change peoples minds, by always mentioning girl. As: ‘team girl’ was very popular at our gender reveal.
We didn’t have the patience to wait until the 20 week scan, so we booked a private scan with Window to the Womb. Which I would 100% recommend. It was such a lovely experience from start to finish, and we paid a little extra to get a recording of the heartbeat put into a teddy and the cannon we used for the gender reveal. Even though the person working there did slip up and refer to our baby as;’he’, after we’d had the scan.

For our gender reveal we wanted to keep it small so we invited family, and a few friends and it was such a lovely day. I couldn’t resist putting on some food, and the raspberry and white chocolate cake always makes a good centrepiece. I loved finding out at the same time as our family, it made it a really special moment.

We didn’t manage to get photos of the reveal, so here’s a blurry screenshot from a video taken from my Instagram.
Overall we are over the moon, and I cannot wait to meet our little man in January.
Thank you for reading.
