This post is a fun, nostalgic archive of my Lush shopping trips from way back in 2015! To see how my beauty shopping habits look today, check out my simple everyday makeup for dry skin post!
Ok, I have something to share. This is not my first Lush Christmas haul of 2015. I will admit it, I have a problem. In October I picked up a few festive pieces, but somehow, I managed to find myself back in the store with an entire second basket of goodies. Funny how that happens, right?
Looking back at this haul a decade later is wild. A lot has changed in my life since then, including my shift toward a more intentional low buy mindset, but my love for cosy winter baths remains the same.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane and look at a total “Where Are They Now?” breakdown of these classic Lush Christmas products from 2015. Prepare yourself for some serious nostalgia (and a few discontinued heartbreaks)
The Bubble Bars (Peak Mid-2010s Gimmicks)
Magic Wand | Reusable Bubble Bar
-
Past Me Said: “I have no idea how I managed to resist this in my first haul… It’s all of my favourite things: pink, glittery and smells like Snow Fairy. Unlike usual bubble bars, this one is on a stick so you can swish it through the water.”
-
Where Are They Now? The bubble-bar-on-a-stick era was truly elite. Lush still occasionally brings out versions of the Snow Fairy Magic Wand star for the holidays, but the little silver ribbon and tiny metal bell from 2015 feel like a lost art. It was pure fairy-princess magic.
Rose Jam | Bubbleroon
-
Past Me Said: “Rose Jam is one of my favourite Lush scents, it has such a beautiful combination of being floral yet fruity… This works exactly the same as a bubble bar, so it is easy to split it in half.”
-
Where Are They Now? A survivor! While it isn’t strictly a festive exclusive item, the Rose Jam Bubbleroon (shaped like a giant macaron with a cocoa butter cream centre) is still kicking around. The Rose Jam scent family has become one of Lush’s biggest staples, and I can see why.
The Magic of Christmas | Bubble Bar
-
Past Me Said: “I’m not going to lie, the fact that this bubble bar sits on a cinnamon stick sold me. I know, I love a gimmick (apparently). You need something cinnamon scented in your life at this time of year”.
-
Where Are They Now? Past me, you are exposed, we all loved a Lush gimmick in 2015! This star-shaped clove and almond bar wrapped around an actual, literal cinnamon stick was the ultimate winter scent. Sadly, this exact product has been retired to the Lush graveyard, though they always make sure to keep some spicy cinnamon options in the current winter lineup.
The Bath & Body Stash
Golden Wonder | Bath Bomb

-
Past Me Said: “Fun fact: this was the first ever bath bomb I tried and I have not looked back. I feel like this is the Christmas bath bomb that I always come back to because you just know it’s going to be a good bath.”
-
Where Are They Now? It’s so funny reading this, because as you might know if you read my 2019 Lush Haul, I was still buying this exact bomb four years later! This giant, gift-wrapped citrus bomb is an absolute classic. While it has been replaced in recent years by newer formats, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Fairy Dust | Dusting Powder
-
Past Me Said: “Looking at this now, I’m not too sure why I bought it. It was very much an impulse buy because it’s pink and glittery… On the bottle it also mentions that you can sprinkle it in your bed before you go to sleep.”
-
Where Are They Now? This makes me laugh out loud. Sleeping in a bed full of loose, pink, synthetic Snow Fairy-scented glitter sounds like an absolute sensory nightmare to me now! Lush still occasionally drops Fairy Dust for Christmas, but these days, I leave the impulse glitter purchases on the shelf.
Beautiful | Shower Gel
-
Past Me Said: “This shower gel is one of my all time favourite Lush scents… It’s just a shame that it doesn’t get much hype as I can’t imagine it’ll be around for long as no one talks about it.”
-
Where Are They Now? Past me was a literal psychic! Beautiful, with its gorgeous, warm, shimmering peach and apricot juice scent, was tragically discontinued not long after this post went live. It never did get the hype it deserved.
The 10-Year Low-Buy Reflection
Looking back at this 2015 haul, it’s clear how easily I used to get reeled in by anything “pink and glittery” on impulse. A decade later, my beauty low-buy has completely transformed how I wander through Lush. I no longer buy double-hauls just because something is festive, but looking back at these old classics brings back such cosy memories.
Let’s chat in the comments!
Do you remember the era of bubble bars on actual cinnamon sticks? Were you lucky enough to try the Beautiful shower gel before it disappeared?
Thank you for reading!
