If there is something I used to take for granted when I was younger, it’s taking hours to get ready. Gone are the days of taking an hour to sit and apply makeup. Nowadays, it’s more throw it on in the shortest amount of time possible, and get out of the door!
I’ve shared my makeup routine in the past, and it’s funny to see how it’s changed over the years… eyeshadow, what’s that?
In this post, I’ll share the exact simple everyday makeup routine that I follow, and the products I’m using at the minute. Some of these are holy grails I’ve been using for years, and others are ones I’m trying to get finished… hello project pan.
This is my simple everyday makeup routine.
My Pre-Makeup Skincare Routine

Things are pretty basic here at the minute, as you can see. My toner and serum ran out at the same time and I’m yet to replace them. I really should work on that… I have dry skin, so I need a good hydrating base before I even touch cosmetics.
To start, I use the Garnier Micellar Water, then I would usually go over with a toner and a serum. I always finish with a moisturiser, and I’m currently working my way through one from Garnier. I love a lip oil, and at the minute, I’m still loving the e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil, but I won’t go into detail here, as I have a full review on that already.
Base Makeup: Revlon Colorstay & e.l.f. Camo Concealer

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Dry Skin
My foundation of choice is Revlon Colorstay for Dry Skin, and it has been for a while now. It’s my absolute go-to because it has a beautiful glowy finish and offers perfect medium coverage that doesn’t cling to dry patches. Even though my local store has discontinued their Revlon stand and I’m not happy about it.
e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer
For concealer, I’m using the e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer and I’ve been really enjoying it. (Keep an eye out, because I’ve actually got a full review in the works for this one!).
Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love Palette (Powder)
I always like to set my makeup in place to ensure it lasts, and at the minute, I’m using the setting powder found in my Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love palette.
Cheek Products: Charlotte Tilbury & Benefit Hoola

I’ve tried to skip these steps to save time, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. To make my everyday makeup routine a little easier, I just grab my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love palette.
I’ve spoken a lot about this palette on my blog because I love it. The blush is still my favourite in my entire collection, it’s the most perfect peachy pink. I’m honestly so sad this palette isn’t a part of the permanent range, as everything about it is stunning. To finish off the cheeks, I warm my face up with the classic Benefit Hoola Bronzer.
The Setting Spray: The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie

Setting spray is another step that I just can’t seem to bring myself to miss. I’m currently using The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Dual Phase Setting Mist. Which is a bit of a mouthful, isn’t it?
I use this to set my base into place and to keep my skin looking hydrated throughout the day, which is a lifesaver for dry skin since it contains Vitamin C and chamomile. I’m quite new to it at the minute, but I will report back.
Brows & Mascara: The Ultimate Panda Test

The Mascara Dilemma (Too Faced vs. Benefit)
I have sworn by the Maybelline Lash Sensational for years, but the last time I wore it, it transferred horribly. Every time I wore it, it’d end up all over my face. At one point, I think I was more panda than human! So, I decided to switch.
I’ve repurchased the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and also started using Benefit Bounce. However, plot twist: one of them is transferring, so I need to figure out which one is the culprit.
17. Brow Gel
To finish the look, I use the 17. Brow Gel. I’ve heard rumours that the formula has changed recently, which makes me so sad, because this current one is absolutely perfect for a quick, simple look.
There we have it, that is my simple everyday makeup routine. I tend to wear this everywhere now, and I am loving how quick and easy it is to get out the door.

I really liked the Elf Camo Concealer, it gave great coverage, but unfortauntely my skin did not! I’ve been using Collection’s Lasting Perfection concealer for years which I really like 🙂
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t agreed with you. That one is a classic; so good!
