June Favourites 2017

The months are flying by and it’s time for another favourites post. I’m loving doing these posts, as I’m finding that it challenges me to use different products, so my posts aren’t filled with the same things.

Urban Decay | Naked Heat

Ever since I got my hands on this, I have been loving creating different looks. Before this palette I had never really experimented with reds, and I have no idea why! I find this palette is amazing for creating looks for during the day, as it is really easy to keep it simple, but then it is just as easy to get a dark smokey eye. These colours are perfect for Summer, and I’ve loved switching it up from the classic bronze/ gold.

Too Faced | Melted Chocolate Milkshake

This has been the lipstick, that I have been reaching for after using the Naked Heat palette. It is a warm toned peachy nude, that is perfect to wear with stronger eye makeup. I wouldn’t say this is particularly hydrating, as it dries my lips out after a few hours of wear. When first applied it looks a little glossy, but it soon dries down to a Satin finish.

Β The Balm | Mary-Lou Manizer

This is a product that I haven’t worn in ages, as I was too busy buying other highlighters and testing them out. Once the spending ban set in, and I sorted through my makeup; I pulled this from the back of the draw to use more often. It is such a classic, and a product that everybody seems to love. It is such a gorgeous light champagne with no chunks of glitter. It can be used for a subtle sheen or built up for a blinding look.

Spectrum | Tall Tapered Blender B06

I’ve had this brush for a while, and I can’t believe I’ve never spoken about it before. I’ve been after that ‘perfect’ blending brush, that is perfect for the crease and for blending, but had no luck. Until this brush, honestly I use it every time I do my makeup, as it’s perfect for building colour up, as well as blending it out. I have the one from ‘The Bombshell’ Collection, but you can buy it singly in a different colour. (Which I am about to do)

MAC | Fix+

I have been using this so much lately, especially during the heat wave, as it’s great for a refresher. If you have dry skin then I could not recommend this enough! I use this over makeup, if my face is starting to look a little dry. I wouldn’t say it’s a setting spray, as it’s a little too refreshing. This has been everywhere with me just lately!

As I’m struggling to think of anything else I am going to leave it there! No random food favourites from me this month I’m afraid!

What have you been loving throughout June?

Thank you for reading!

Your Mary Lou-Manizer looks barely touched! It’s one of my favourite highlighters and it’s what I’d always recommend to people new to highlighting. I’ve had mine for years and it’s nowhere near hitting pan!

    • luxuryblush says:

It’s a new one, you can see in my review of the product I did last year that I hit pan, and I managed to use it up, so I started using my new one! It is definitely the best highlighter, and it does last a long time too!xx

  25. Alice says:

Would love to see some looks you’ve done with the Naked Heat palette! Fix+ has been my saviour too, Superdrugs Vitamin E mist is such a good dupe for it aswell but it comes out a bit more heavy and full on than MAC so you have to make sure to spray it further away otherwise you soak yourself haha!
    Alice Xx

  26. Heba says:

Love the clear images and descriptions in your post!
How do you feel you blending brush compares to the MAC 125 brush?

    The Heba

    • luxuryblush says:

Thank you so much, I’m glad you like them! I’ve not tried the 125, but I’ve got the 217 and I use the 217 to blend only, where as the Spectrum one is great for blending and for building a colour up and using it as a transition or through the crease! Hope that helps xx

  27. Velvet Blush says:

The spectrum brush sounds really good, I think good blending brushes always come in handy! I also want to try one of the too faced liquid lipsticks. For those hot days, I like going in with either the freedom primer water or the balance me toning mist just to refresh and create a nice base for my makeup πŸ™‚ xx

    • luxuryblush says:

That’s true, you can’t beat a good blending brush! The Too Faced lipsticks are one of my favourite lipstick formulas! I must give them a go, thank you for the recommendation!xx

  29. Kiri says:

Everyone raves about the MAC Fix and Prime.
However I would never have thought to spritz with it.
I would probably use it before makeup!
    Thanks for your tips!
