In an ideal world this post would be up before Valentines Day, but we can’t have it all can we? I ordered this online and it arrived on Valentines Day, and I wasn’t prepared to rush everything to get this up on time. We still have the Mothers Day collection, and the collection is stunning this year, so I had to share.
We’ll start with the Valentines range first and then go through what I picked up from the Mothers Day collection.
This is the one that I’ve seen everyone talk about, so I had to pick it up for myself. The colours look really beautiful and I love how you can see the little confetti hearts on the bottom. The design is ultra cute, and I can’t wait to see what the end result is. This bath bomb really reminds me of the still available Rocket Science, as I’m pretty sure they share the same scent. It includes: Sicilian Lemon, Sweet Orange and Rose Oil. It has a strong citrus vibe, which I am loving.
This is incredibly cute. Which could be said for practically everything in the Lush collection. The smell isn’t my favourite. It’s not awful, but it’s not the best; in my humble opinion of course. It contains: Lemon grass Oil, Rose Absolute, Organic Shea Butter and Murumuru Butter. This is the same idea as Rose Jam, but the shape and scents are different. In the centre there is a chunk covered in gold glitter which is a really nice finishing touch.
When this was first released people went crazy for it. I remember really struggling to get hold of it, but the hype seems to have died out a little over the years. A lot of people don’t seem to like the new colour theme either, but I really like it. It’s a shame they got rid of the little stars, but it still looks cute. This one smells like Lavender and Neroli Oil, which makes for a very relaxing bath.
That is everything I got from the Valentines Collection, so let’s move onto the Mothers Day range!
I was so excited to give this one ago considering it’s brand new. I love the colours too, as pink and blue always make a good bath. The scent however is not my favourite, but my mum loves it and considering it’s from the mother’s day collection that makes sense. It contains Grapefruit Oil and Petitgrain Oil. It’s really fresh, but the grapefruit gives it that fruity twist.
Out of everything this is my least favourite. I’m pretty sure this is new for this year, so I wanted to give it a try, but the first impressions aren’t great. I don’t know if you’ll know what I’m on about, but I remember having medicine when I was little that was Yellow, and this smells exactly like that. Hopefully someone knows what medicine I’m on about or this could be very awkward. I thought I would love the scent considering it contains: Cocoa Absolute, Coconut Milk Powder, Almond Essential Oil and Coconut Blossom Nectar, but it’s not great.
You know the marble trend is getting out of hand when it’s being incorporated onto Lush products. I still love it though, so I happily added it to my basket. The design has slowly faded and mixed together, but it’s not the end of the world. I feel like this post is me bashing on the scents, but this is another one that I’m not keen on. Everything seems to be quite floral, and I’m not the biggest fan of floral. This contains: Jasmine Absolute, Mimosa Absolute, Fair Trade Shea Butter and Orange Flower Absolute.
I prefer the colour scheme of this one, but again I’m not 100% on the scent. This is the downside of buying online I guess. This one contains: Peppermint Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Black Pepper Oil and Fair Trade Shea Butter.
I have definitely saved the best for last. I just could not resist getting this, as it is adorable. The scent is; Shea Butter with a spicy twist, and it’s a really nice change from the standard cocoa scent. It contains: Honey, Tonka Absolute, Vanilla Absolute and Fair Trade Shea Butter. It also contains Clove Leaf Oil, which explains the spicy twist.
That is everything I got from the Valentines and Mothers Day range, and it’s fair to say that I am well stocked up. The Easter range has now dropped, but I doubt I’ll pick anything up considering this will see me through for a while.
What’s your favourite Lush collection?
