The Archive Update
I was scrolling through my past beauty posts and found this seasonal Lush haul! Looking back, this post reminds me of the ultimate risk every beauty lover takes: ordering Lush products online without smelling them first!
While a couple of these products became total legendary favourites, a few of them were complete scent disasters for me. I’ve left my original, brutally honest first impressions below so you can see how this blind buy experiment turned out.
In an ideal world, this post would have been live well before Valentine’s Day, but we can’t always have it all, can we?
I ordered this little haul online, and because it arrived on Valentine’s Day itself, I wasn’t prepared to rush my photos and thoughts just to get it up on time. Luckily, we still have the Mother’s Day collection to look forward to, and the range is absolutely stunning this year, so I just had to share it with you all.
Let’s dive into my Valentine’s and Mother’s Day Lush haul!
Love Boat | Bath Bomb

This is the specific product I’ve seen absolutely everyone talking about online, so I knew I had to pick it up for myself. The colors look really beautiful, and I love how you can see the tiny confetti hearts pressed into the bottom. The design is ultra-cute, and I can’t wait to see what the end bath art looks like!
This bath bomb strongly reminds me of Rocket Science, and I’m pretty sure they actually share the exact same scent. It features Sicilian lemon, sweet orange, and rose oil, giving it a bright, strong citrus vibe that I am completely loving.
Whole Lotta Love | Bubbleroon

This one is incredibly cute, which, let’s face it, could be said for practically everything Lush creates! However, the smell isn’t my personal favourite. It’s not awful, but it’s definitely not the best in my humble opinion.
It contains lemongrass oil, rose absolute, organic shea butter, and murumuru butter. It follows the same moisturising concept as the famous Rose Jam, but the shape and scents are different. In the very centre, there is a thick chunk covered in bright gold glitter, which is a really nice finishing touch.
Unicorn Horn | Bubble Bar

When this was first released years ago, people went absolutely crazy for it. I remember really struggling to get hold of one back then, but the intense hype seems to have died out a little over the years.
A lot of people don’t seem to like the updated pastel colour theme either, but I actually really prefer it! It’s a shame they got rid of the little candy stars on the side, but it still looks incredibly cute. This one smells beautifully of lavender and neroli oil, which makes for a very relaxing, sleepy bath.
That is everything I got from the Valentines Collection, so let’s move onto the Mothers Day range!
Madame President | Bath Bomb

I was so excited to give this one a go considering it’s a brand new release. I love the colour combination, too, pink and blue always melt together to make the prettiest bath water.
The scent, however, is not my personal favourite. But my mum absolutely loves it, and considering it’s from the Mother’s Day collection, I suppose that makes perfect sense! It contains grapefruit oil and petitgrain oil, making it very fresh with a sharp, fruity twist.
If you want to see this bath bomb in action, I have a full review.
Mum, Look What I Made You | Bath Bomb

Out of everything in the entire haul, this one is my least favourite. I’m pretty sure it’s a brand new release for this year, so I wanted to give it a try, but my first impressions aren’t great.
I don’t know if you’ll know exactly what I’m on about here, but I vividly remember having a liquid medicine when I was little that was bright yellow, and this bath bomb smells exactly like that. Hopefully, someone reading this knows the exact medicine I mean, or this could be a very awkward comparison! I thought I would love the scent profile considering it contains cocoa absolute, coconut milk powder, almond essential oil, and coconut blossom nectar… but sadly, it’s a miss for me.
Mother Of Pearl | Marbled Bubbleroon

You know the internet’s marble trend is getting slightly out of hand when it starts being incorporated into Lush bath products! I still love the aesthetic, though, so I happily added it to my basket. By the time it arrived, the design had slowly faded and mixed together a bit, but it’s not the end of the world.
I feel like this post is turning into me just bashing all the scents, but this is another one that I’m just not keen on. Everything in this range seems to be quite heavy on the florals, and I’m just not the biggest fan of floral perfumes. This one contains jasmine absolute, mimosa absolute, orange flower absolute, and fair trade shea butter.
Purple Drain | Marbled Bubbleroon

I definitely prefer the purple and pink colour scheme of this one compared to Mother of Pearl, but again, I’m just not 100% sold on the actual scent. This is the ultimate downside of buying blind online, I guess! This one contains a unique mix of peppermint oil, clove bud oil, black pepper oil, and fair trade shea butter.
Honey Bear | Massage Bar

I have definitely saved the absolute best for last! I just could not resist picking this up because the little bear design is so adorable.
The scent is incredible: rich shea butter with a warm, spicy twist, which is such a nice change from Lush’s standard sweet cocoa butter scent. It contains honey, tonka absolute, vanilla absolute, and clove leaf oil, which perfectly explains that lovely spicy kick. It is easily my favourite item of the bunch!
Final Thoughts
There we have it, my completely honest Valentine’s and Mother’s Day Lush haul!
It was a bit of a mixed bag this time around, but that Honey Bear massage bar and the Love Boat bath bomb definitely saved the day.

Thank you so much for reading!

Amazing haul I recently did some cruelty free beauty shopping and bought the whole lotta love , mother of pearl and the cheer up butter cup. My favourite range would have to be the Christmas but Easter is a close second because of the golden egg bath bomb melt and the bunch of carrots , what are your opinion on the naked shower gels? I’m yet to try one but I find they are a little pricy !the problem I always have with a new lush collection is I want every thing and end up spending way to much money! Great haul as always x

Thank you so much! It sounds like you got so many fab things. The Christmas range is always insanely amazing, but the Easter range is great too. The carrots are so cute! I’ve not tried the Naked shower gels, as they seem quite difficult to use, if you don’t want to use your hands. It is really pricey too. That is so true haha! Thank you so much xx
Great haul! So pretty and love the names! xx
