A couple of months ago, I would not shut up about these. I even included them in my 2017 yearly favourites, as I seriously love them. After months of putting it off, the time has finally come for a full review. I’ve also now realised that it wasn’t a few months ago; it was last year, so there’s that.
What is It?
It’s a moisturiser, but very thin. This means it’s lightweight and absorbs really quickly, so you aren’t left feeling sticky for hours afterwards; which we all know is the worst.
Fun fact: I used to use the Coconut scented hand gel when I worked at the co-co, and a customer accused me of sneaking Malibu. I don’t know if that reflects on the customer or the scent of the coconut range, I’ll leave that one to you to work out.
You can get these in two sizes: 60ml or 250ml. I’d suggest getting the bigger size, as the spray bottle is really convenient. If you get the smaller bottle, I imagine it being a little harder to use, with how thin the formula is. With the spray bottle it sprays evenly, and you can easily spray it in your hand instead of direct to the area. If you would prefer the smaller size, you cannot get Moringa for some strange reason.
The 60ml bottle costs £3 and the 250ml is £8.50. Which I think is great, especially as The Body Shop often have sales, so chances are; you can get them for a little bit cheaper.
Does it Work?
Yes… if you use it daily. I’ve noticed that the benefits hang around for about a day, and then I’m back to being half lizard, which obviously isn’t ideal. On the website it does say: ‘use daily for skin that feels nourished and irresistibly soft to the touch’. When it says use daily, it means it. Sure you get the skin feeling nourished and soft to the touch, but only if you use it every 24 hours.
When to Use?
Daily of course.
In all seriousness, I try to use this after a shower, so I never end up using it daily. Every other day will have to do. The only time I use it daily is on holiday. With it being so lightweight and quick to absorb, it’s great to use before you go out for that evening meal. Plus who doesn’t want to smell like a Coconut on holiday? Or a flower…
So that’s it really, these are really great and the spray bottle is the biggest convenience. Next I really want to try the body yogurts, as you can go a whole 48 hours with those apparently. Even though I am jealous that there’s a Banana one in the US.
