I don’t know whats got into me this year, but my daily routine is a lot different to what it was. I’ve always struggled to get into a proper routine, but this year its sticking a lot better than it ever has. Since implementing these things into my day, I’ve been feeling a lot better. Hence why I want to share with you.
This is Small Changes I’m Making to Improve my Life.
Going to Bed Earlier and getting up Earlier
This one can be a little hit and miss, but it’s nowhere near as bad as it was. I’m a weird hybrid of being a night person, but I hate sleeping in. If I wake up any later than nine I feel like I’m wasting the day. Sleeping better has massively improved my mood, as I’m no longer awake in the early hours, but I sleep at a sensible time. It also helps that I’m no longer scrolling through Instagram before bed, as we all know using your phone before bed isn’t ideal.
Drinking More Water
I’m trying to improve my water intake, so I’ve brought a big bottle and try to fill it up twice a day. I’ve noticed my skin looking better and its a lot better than drinking Pepsi Max all day which is pretty much my second love.
Eating Better
I used to be queen of the microwave meals. I wish I was joking. This meant most of my meals were those pre packaged things you shoved in the microwave for 3 minutes and ate. I know, I know. Now I barely eat any, I’ll still have one or two occasionally, but I’m favouring actually cooking something. This might not sound like a big step to some, but for me its huge. I’m already starting to feel a benefit, and I’m hoping to carry on eating better.
Exercise
I touched on this in my goals update post, but I’ve been enjoying exercise recently. At the moment I’m sticking to walking, swimming and going on Just Dance. That last one definitely counts. I’ve also been running a little bit, and I don’t run so thats pretty huge. It turns out when people said exercise made you feel good, they weren’t lying. Who knew?
That is everything I have added to my daily routine in order to improve my life. It’s fair to say that it has really helped me too.
That was Small Changes I’m Making to Improve my Life.
What helps to boost your mood?
Thank you for reading!
I’m starting to look at places where I can improve in my life. I’ve started to make sure I’m eating enough and I’m planning to start running as well!

It’s the small changes that can make a big difference, that’s for sure xx
With you on the water one, I’m so forgetful! x

It’s so easy to forget, but it’s such a must xx
Water makes such a difference to my skin! I find it a lot easier to drink enough in this warmer weather though.xx

It helps a lot doesn’t it?! That’s true, the warm weather definitely helps xx
I totally agree with you on drinking lots of water and going to bed early and getting up early. I also find getting outdoors for fresh air really helps – weather permitting! xx

They really help! That’s true, touch wood we’ve been having good weather recently too xx
I definitely need to drink more – i’m so bad at drinking!! Exercise will honestly help so much – I go to boxing, hit and strength classes and they’re so hard but super rewarding! if you struggle with the gym, i’d definitely recommend going to classes as they’re really motivational 🙂
The only thing that’s helped me is getting a big bottle I can take with me. It makes such a huge difference, doesn’t it? Thank you for the tip, I’ll have to look into it xx
These are all wonderful! I need to improve my sleeping habits too; going to bed earlier (and without phone in my hands) would be a great start. Hope you’re well, Hannah! xx

I’m glad you think so! Going to sleep earlier makes such a big difference, it’s great. Thank you, and the same to you xx
Drinking more water and eating well are things that also make me feel 100% better about life. Also, you’re not alone in being a night owl but hating getting up late. I am exactly the same. I can easily stay up until like 3 am but still set an alarm for 7 am because getting up any later seems a waste haha. This has really inspired me to get my bum into gear and start making the little changes again that I know make a difference but that I always forget to implement.
Loved this post and I can’t wait to read more from you! Have an amazing day xx
I’m glad it’s working for you too! Ah, I’m glad its not just me, it’s such a pain. Totally agree with you! I’m glad it’s inspired you! Thank you so much, and the same to you xx
Ahhh I am the same, I could definitely do with all of these! I have been saving up to get me an exercise bike, with having ME I find it hard to exercise so I’m hoping sitting down will help me haha, and I can attempt some gentle exercise 😀 my goal for autumn anywho haha! xx

I hope you’re able to implement them, and that the saving is going well. It’s so handy to have the equipment at home. Good luck, I hope you’re able to achieve it xx
I definitely need to start getting up earlier and making more time for myself. Great post!

I hope you’re able to start doing it soon! Thank you so much xx
Small changes are important ❣
They really are xx
I agree with all of these, and Just Dance is definitely a legit (and fun) workout! Exercise and sleep also help boost my mood. Music or a good podcast also help boost my mood.

I’m glad you agree! Haha it really is! They’re fab mood boosters. Yes, they’re great too!xx
These sound like great improvements. I definitely need to drink more water and eat better, I’ve gotten so slack! xx

Thank you, I’m glad you think so too! It’s so hard to break the routine, but when you do it really sticks xx
