Happy September! Earlier this year there was a time when it felt like all I was posting was favourites posts. That’s pretty much because I was. This time around I made myself have a little break and write other things before returning to an old favourite (get it?)
These are my August Favourites 2019!
Nars | All Day Luminous Foundation
When I ran out of my trusty Nars Sheer Glow, I decided to try something new. I went for the All Day Luminous. This foundation is full coverage, but doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It’s an incredibly thin formula, and it blends really easily, so you don’t need to use that much. I wouldn’t say this is that luminous, so if you are after a super luminous foundation, this is not the one. This foundation is better suited to those with oily skin, and considering I have dry skin, that’s my only problem. I have to use a moisturising primer underneath, which isn’t too much trouble.
Maybelline | Fit Me Concealer
When I ran out of my Urban Decay concealer, I decided to use up some of my other products before rushing out and buying something new. That’s why I started using this one again. I have no idea why I stopped using it, as I love it! I have the shade 05, and it works really well. It glides on really easily, but blends out just as easily. I always set my concealer with powder, and I’ve had no issues with creasing.
Benefit | Hoola Bronzer
This is my go to Summer bronzer. I’m too pale for this in the Winter, so I get my use out of it Summer. I use this to warm my face up, but I use the tiniest amount at a time. This bronzer is really pigmented, so I find it best to apply small amounts and build it up. Hoola is a medium brown with warm undertones.
Charlotte Tilbury | Liv it Up Lipstick
With the hype of the new Charlotte Tilbury hot lips collection, I decided to be kind to my bank account and use the one I own from the first collection. I loved this colour a lot when I got it, but I was also on a mad makeup buying spree at the time, so other lipsticks came into my collection which pushed this one to the back. 2017 was a bad time for bank account. This lipstick is a light medium pink that isn’t very pigmented. It’s a creamy formula which adds a wash of pink.
Milani | Sun Kissed Silky Matte Bronzer
This is a newbie to my collection, but I have been loving contouring with this. I got the lightest shade which is Sun Light and it is described as a light brown. Like I mentioned before, I use this to contour and it is really pigmented, so a light hand is needed. It is easy to apply too much, but it blends out without too much trouble.
Soap and Glory | Super Cat Eyeliner
Now this is an oldie, but a goodie. I used this eyeliner all of the time back in the day, but I stopped wearing eyeliner altogether last year. In August I got back into wearing it, I’ve gone straight back to this one. It’s easy to use and a great colour.
ColourPop | Strawberry Lippie Balm
When this first arrived, I was a little put off from the packaging. It looks a lot like those lip glosses you got from magazines back in the 90’s/ 00’s. After using this it quickly became one of my favourite balms. It’s got the texture of a gloss, but it is incredibly moisturising. On the lips it looks like a gloss too, so this is perfect over lipstick. It has a sweet artificial strawberry scent that doesn’t last long.
My Brother Got Married
I had to save the best one for last. On the 10th August my brother got married and I was lucky enough to be asked to be apart of their big day, by being a bridesmaid. It was such an amazing day and Alicia my sister in law looked beautiful. Everything was decorated so beautifully, and it truly was a great day.

I love Maybelline concealer too. I also want to try the NARS foundation as I have oily skin. Milani is one of my favorite brand as well but I have not tried this bronzer, but will keep in mind. Oh I wished I had picked up some Milani makeup now when I was in the US, I love all their products although so glad you can get it in the UK easily! I was so angry I didn’t get on with that luminous foundation, it was so patchy but also think that may have been because I was so dry skinned! How exciting as well being a bridesmaid for your brothers wedding day! xx

The Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are literally my must-haves! I think I might have too many if I’m honest. Also, the benefit bronzer is such a classic, I love it!
