Can you believe that it’s 2020? At this point you probably can because it’s already mid January by the time this post has gone live. Would it really be a new year without reflecting on the previous years goals though? So in this post I’m going to go over my 2019 goals and how I got on with them.
This is 2019 Goals | How Did I Get On?
Buy Less Makeup
I’d like to think this one has been a success. I’ve spent probably a little bit too much on MAC limited edition collections, but come on; it’s limited edition. I’ve also had a little splash out on ColourPop, but other than that, I’ve been using what I have. Which reminds me; I need to get my act together and finish my empties post, as my empties bag has been filling up.
Learn How to Cook
A success! I covered this in my look back of 2019, so I won’t go into too much detail here. I have very much enjoyed cooking, and trying new things. Is there anything better than home cooked food? I don’t think so, and it’s great to be able to make things myself and not reply on anyone else or a microwave meal.
Exercise
This is a funny one, as I can never seem to be consistent with exercise. I’ll push myself for a week and then be too drained to do anything the next. Which means it’s very hit and miss, but I’ve definitely done more exercise this year than I have done before. In the summer I went swimming once a week, and I bought a treadmill which I use often. I also find that having a Fitbit helps, as it keeps me motivated.
Declutter
This one has gone really well. I sorted through my wardrobe, nail polish and pretty much all of my room. As I mentioned in my update post, I had a new carpet fitted, so everything had to be moved out of my room, so I decluttered at the same time. I should probably go through my makeup collection again, but I just can’t bring myself to part with palettes.
Be More Proactive
I’m pretty much the same with this one. I guess it’s a weird goal to track properly. It doesn’t feel like it’s been a roaring success, but then I’ve always had plans, so it’s not been a failure either. I know confusing right? In all fairness I probably could have organised more things, but I’m not mad about it.
Be Active Online
This one has been a success! Well sort of. For the first half of the year I struggled to stay active, but in July I made a return and have loved it ever since. I’ve loved writing blog posts, creating content for Instagram and posting on there one a day; sometimes even twice a day! I’ve pretty much forgot about Twitter as I don’t think I’m witty enough to keep with that one.
That’s everything! Overall I think I did well and nothing really failed massively; for once.

I love being able to reflect on your goals and progress! You did so so so well. Well done! I want to get a Fitbit but I just don’t know which one to get. Which one do you have if you don’t mind me asking?xx

It’s so good isn’t it? Thank you so much. I have the Fitbit Alta HR which was discontinued, in order to pick one I compared all of the things they have and picked which things I would rather track and I think there are some posts comparing them which are helpful xx
You did really well! I didn’t really set any major goals for myself last year but I have massively improved on my shopping habits over the past few years, which is good! x

Oh wow, you did really well! It’s really difficult to break one habit let alone six, so well done on making an effort with all your goals too. I’m determined to become more active online this year after losing track of it all in 2019, so it’s reassuring to see someone else managed to do it too! xx
Thank you! That is so true, it can be really difficult to break a habit. I hope you’re able to get back into it, it’s so rewarding when you start to enjoy it properly again xx
Congrats on crushing so many of your goals! I want to be a bit more active online, and cook a lot more this year. I hope you have a great year ahead!
My Lovelier Days
Thank you! I hope you’re able to achieve both of those. Thank you, and you too xx
You done well with your 2019 goals! I really need to start cooking again, reading it in your look back post reminded me that I have to get back to the kitchen, it’s very therapeutic for me. Congratulation on your success with 2019’s goals.

omg buying less makeup is my goal for this year! I’m trying to buy a home this year, which means cutting down on spending, especially things I don’t need! I already felt like I have wayy too much makeup, but it makes it that much easier knowing that I have a goal that I’m working towards! I hope you do better in 2020 reaching your goals han xxx
