It’s been a while since I’ve done a lipstick post, so I thought I would throw it back and go through five of my current go to’s. They are all pretty similar, but I’m not the type to reach for a red lipstick daily. I’ve also cheated a little bit, as I’ve included lip crayons and glosses as well as the traditional bullet.
This is Five Lipsticks I’m Constantly Reaching For.
Charlotte Tilbury | Bitch Perfect
I have been reaching for this lipstick a lot recently, and I’m sad that I didn’t really reach for it sooner. Bitch Perfect is described as a peachy nude moisturising lipstick, as it is a part of the Kissing range which is more hydrating and creamy. This lipstick is such a flattering nude, that is great for an occasion. It’s not drying at all, but does need reapplying throughout the day, as it is such a comfortable formula.
MAC | Faux Satin Lipstick
This lipstick will always make this list, as it is my favourite. With it having a Satin formula it has a semi matte finish and it isn’t as drying as the matte finish. Faux applies really easily and has a great colour payoff. I always reapply after eating and drinking, as it does fade. It is described as a mauve pink, and it is my perfect nude shade. It goes with just about everything.
Maybelline | Trust Your Gut Lip Crayon
These lip crayons are unlike any that I’ve tried before. Lip crayons are normally hydrating and sheer, but this one is creamy and dries down to a matte finish. Trust Your Gut is a nude that is a great colour for day to day wear. This lip crayon glides on easily, but will need reapplying after eating and drinking. Which isn’t a problem, as this is great to travel with. There is even a built in sharpener at the bottom for extra precision.
ColourPop | Shaka Lip Crayon
In the colder months, I always keep something light and hydrating on hand and this is it. This lip crayon is very hydrating, but has a good amount of colour pay off, considering how creamy it is. The lasting power isn’t great, so you need to take this with you and be willing to reapply numerous times. Shaka is described as a sheer yellow toned nude, but it is a very flattering shade. One thing I don’t like about this is the scent. It has a very strong passionfruit scent, but this disappears once the product has been applied.
Fenty | Fu$$y Lip Gloss
First of all this smells amazing. It has a very sweet smell, that may not be for you if you are sensitive to scents. I have been wearing this gloss with everything, as it matches all of these lip colours perfectly. Not that it would be hard, as they are very similar. Fussy is described as a shimmering dusty pink. This gloss is not sticky or tacky, but it has amazing pigment and shine. If you’re after a lipgloss, you can’t go wrong with a Fenty one.
Top to Bottom: Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect, MAC Faux, Maybelline Trust Your Gut, ColourPop Shaka and Fenty Fussy.
There we have it, that was Five Lipsticks I’m Constantly Reaching For.
