I will admit that I wasn’t planning on writing this post just yet, as I like to have more items and more variety. This time it is very skincare heavy, but as I haven’t worn makeup for a while and considering we’re in isolation until who knows when; I don’t know when I’ll wear it. Which has led me to writing this post early, before I can forget about these products.
This is Empties #6.
ColourPop | By The Bushel Lip Balm
I have raved endlessly about this lip balm on my blog, and I’m not about to stop now. The packaging has had a little revamp since I bought this one, but it’s still in the same 90’s/ 00’s style tube. I think the tube aspect makes it easy to apply and travel with. By The Bushel is a sheer pink balm that looks like a gloss once applied. They are sticky, but very hydrating. It’s like a balm and a gloss in one, and I love it.
Repurchase? I’m already half way through another tube.
Laura Mercier | Translucent Setting Powder
I have gone through a love hate relationship with this powder. When I first started using this I set my entire face with it, and it left with me hideous flashback. Which obviously isn’t ideal. I then used it to set my under eye concealer and I had no issues at all. It never dried out my skin and sets makeup beautifully.
Repurchase? At £32 probably not.
The Body Shop | Vitamin E Night Cream
This night cream really saved my skin during Winter. When it’s cold out, I need something very hydrating to stop my skin from becoming extremely dry and this did exactly that. This night cream dries quickly and isn’t greasy. If you have dry skin, then I would highly recommend anything from the Vitamin E range.
Repurchase? I’m currently using the Vitamin E Intense Moisturiser, so probably not. If I ever need a night cream, I will come back to this one.
Garnier | Rose Soothing Toner
I will admit that I can’t really remember much about this product, so it mustn’t have been anything groundbreaking. This toner soothes the skin, so it was a welcomed addition for my dry skin in the Winter. It also has a strong rose scent, which I can’t say that I love. There’s not really much to say, it’s not a bad toner. I just wasn’t blown away by it.
Repurchase? No.
The Body Shop | Rich Plum Body Scrub
I was a little unsure on whether or not to include this, as the scent is a Christmas exclusive, but you can still buy the scrubs in different scents. My favourite thing about this scrub is that it is sugar based, which means it really feels like it’s working. The cream scrubs don’t really do it for me. I would highly recommend the Mango scent, as it smells incredible.
Repurchase? I’ll definitely repurchase the Mango version.
Soap and Glory | The Way She Smoothes
First of all this smells incredible. This is apart of the Call of Fruity range, which has notes of coconut, mango, papaya and passionfruit. I can imagine that this is the perfect summer scent, as it lingers. My room will smell like this for hours, never-mind me. This moisturiser lasts an extremely long time too, as you get so much product. I do find that this takes a little time to fully absorb, so it’s best not to use when you’re in a rush.
Repurchase? Maybe in Summer, but I’ve got too many body moisturisers that I need to work through at the moment.
There we have it that was my Empties #6.
I was hoping for a few more makeup inclusions, but I guess six products isn’t bad, especially for Empties #6… you get it?
Have you used up anything lately?
Stay safe and thank you for reading.
