Not another late baking post… This is very similar to last months situation, in that I baked it in June, but I’ve only just got around to writing the post. Not that it’s surprising, I’ve been on radio silence lately, but I am planning on coming back and I have a lot of blog post ideas going forward. Now we’ve got to see if I can get them up on time…
In June I decided to bake Oreo brownies, and I followed a recipe from Plated Cravings. I did have a panic half way through, as I thought my tin was too big, but everything was fine in the end. This panic meant I left out the Oreo’s from the centre of the batter, but I could’ve added them in.
This is how to bake Oreo Brownies.
Ingredients
115g Unsalted Butter
225g Dark Chocolate
100g Granulated Sugar
2 Large Eggs
1tsp Vanilla Extract
90g Self Raising Flour
45g Cocoa Powder
Pinch of Salt
45g Milk Chocolate Chips
45g White Chocolate Chips
24 Oreos
Method
1 . Break the chocolate into blocks and melt it with the butter. You can do this in a saucepan over a medium heat, making sure to stir constantly. Remove from the heat and transfer to your mixing bowl, then leave it to cool for 10 minutes.
2. Preheat the oven to 180° and line your tin with baking paper.
3. Add the sugar to the melted chocolate and butter mixture, then stir until well combined.
4. Add the eggs one at a time and stir in between.
5. Then add the vanilla extract and stir again.
6. Add the flour, cocoa powder and the salt then fold through. At this point there should be no clumps and all of the dry ingredients should be wet. Then add the chocolate chips.
7. I didn’t do this, but thought I would include it here, as I wish I had gone through with it. Spread half of the mixture into the tin, and top with Oreos. Then pour the rest of the batter over the top.
8. Crush the rest of the Oreos and sprinkle them over the top of the mixture.
9. Bake for 25-30 minutes. At this point a toothpick should come out with only a few fudgey crumbs attached.
10. Let the brownies cool in the tin, or transfer to a wire rack.

Enjoy!
That was how to make Oreo Brownies.

Ooo la la this looks and sounds INCREDIBLE. I love Oreos though not the healthiest b/c of the trans fat but everyone in a while as a treat does not hurt will have to try this when it gets cold again, it is way too hot here now.
