A Deep Space Obsession
As soon as I caught sight of this bath bomb on the shelves, I knew I was going to love it. I mean, just look at those incredible colours. From the vibrant cobalt blue base to the neon pink, white, and yellow swirls running through the centre; it is absolutely beautiful.
Judging by appearance alone, this sphere has absolutely everything I want in a luxury bath treat. Naturally, I had to bring one home to test out, so let’s get right into my official Lush Intergalactic review.
The Journey (And the Price Hike)
This bath bomb actually started its life as an exclusive product for the flagship Oxford Street store in London. However, it blew up on social media so quickly that Lush brought it to the main website, and it is now a permanent staple available worldwide.
-
The Price Shift: When it was first released, it cost a very reasonable £3.95. If you go to pick one up today, it will set you back £6.50. While I’m not completely sure if they have tweaked or upgraded the ingredients list over the years to justify the jump, that is quite a steep price increase for a single use product.
The Performance: In the Water
The second this hits the water, it completely erupts. Thick, vibrant blue foam covers the surface of the bath, while waves of golden glitter pour out into the water. Within a matter of moments, paths of neon pink and bright yellow begin to swirl out from the core, creating the most intricate, stunning details. It literally looks like a swirling galaxy has opened up right inside your tub.
The Scent Profile: A Bit of a Catch?
Now for the only element I don’t completely enjoy: the fragrance. This bomb features a very heavy, sharp peppermint scent that just isn’t personally for me. The formula contains a mix of:
-
Peppermint Oil
-
Grapefruit Oil
-
Vetivert Oil
-
Cedarwood Oil
The throw is incredibly strong. It fills the room instantly, and I could still strongly smell the cooling mint in the bathroom hours after draining the tub. If you love fresh, bracing, herbal scents, you will adore this, but it’s quite a shock if you prefer something sweet or floral.
The Final Verdict
Overall, I really do love this bath bomb, even though the minty scent profile isn’t my personal favourite. The visual show it puts on in the water completely overpowers the fragrance. The end result of the deep, midnight blue water shimmering with an endless ocean of fine gold glitter is simply beautiful.
A Quick Warning: Your tub will definitely need a thorough rinse down immediately afterwards to clear away the leftover sparkle!
Despite the mint and the cleanup, Intergalactic easily sits right up there with Think Pink and Goddess as one of my all time favourite bath bombs.
Let’s chat in the comments!

YES! This looks so nice! I've had some disappointing ones lately from Lush where it doesnt seem to do much. But I love the colour and fizz of this 🙂

Argh, the glitter spoils it for me – I hate glitter! Thanks for the review. I haven't tried Lush yet, but I'm going to give it a try now.
I know what you mean! Some of them hardly do anything, but this one is honestly gorgeous! x
Yeah, if you don't like glitter then this is not the bath bomb for you. No problem, thank you for reading! You won't be disappointed 🙂 x
Intergalactic is my favourite bath bomb from Lush! I recently bought a few of them to stock up! X
That's a good idea, I may have to do the same haha! x
I have Intergalactic in my bathroom at the moment, but I haven't tried it yet. What a gorgeous effect – now I can't wait to use it!

Ah, I'm excited for you to use it haha! x
I always split my bath bombs in two and I'm currently half way through Shoot for the Stars but this one looks lovely! I love glitter in bath bombs (controversial!)

That's a good idea! The bath bombs are definitely big enough for it! Shoot for the stars is a classic! I'm with you on the glitter! x
That's my favourite bath bomb!! I love Lush. My gyno friend did say they can wreck havoc on the neither regions though, she's very against anything fancy in the bath that might go up there!
It’s amazing isn’t it?! I’ve heard that too, but I use them quite a lot and I’ve always been fine haha!xx
