If you saw my Lush haul, then you will know that I have been very excited to try this. Pink bath bombs are my favourite, so I’ll always welcome a pink addition to the Christmas line. With most bath bombs I’ve already seen them in action, but I went into this one completely blind. Which may be why I was looking forward to using it, as I may have set my expectations a little too high…
This is my Lush Mistletoe Bath Bomb Review.
The Design
Mistletoe is a large pink bath bomb with mint green detailing over both sides. I can only assume the mint green is supposed to look like mistletoe, as the name would suggest.
The Scent
This bath bomb shares a scent with the silky underwear range, which I know is a Lush classic. I personally haven’t smelt it before, as I only started shopping Lush last year. It contains: Jasmine, Vetivert and Ylang Ylang. It makes a musky and sultry scent, that is somehow still sweet and comforting.
In the Water
Once placed in the water, colours of pink and purple shot out and the green disappeared pretty much straight away. After a few seconds the bath bomb sunk, so that was pretty much it for the colours appearing over the surface of the water. It was a bit of a shame, and I’m not sure if I got a dud or if that how it is supposed to perform.
Once it sunk, it fizzed away quickly, meaning the experience was over in a matter of minutes. It was a little bit of a let down, but I must admit that I like end result. The purple is a lovely colour, and one I don’t see very often in other products.
How Does it Compare to Other Lush Bath Bombs?
In all honesty, I don’t think this bath bomb does Lush justice. They have some amazing bath bombs, and I found this one a little lacklustre. Especially when you compare it to bath bombs such as: Luxury Lush Pud, Golden Wonder and Shoot for The Stars. I won’t be rushing out to pick this one up again.
Maybe I set my expectations too high, but unfortunately I didn’t love this one.
