I don’t know why I opened the email, but I was looking at the typical promotional email from Beauty Bay and towards the bottom I saw this highlighter, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I love highlighters, and this one looked gorgeous. I tried to do some research and find some swatches online, but nothing came up, so I took the plunge and got it anyway.
The packaging is a really pretty shade of pink, and has the Doll Light over the front. It’s a pretty standard compact, but the colour is beautiful. Inside there is a decent sized mirror, and on the mirror it says: ‘Make Them Stare’, which I personally really like, as it’s something a little different to the other compacts out there.
The highlighter has hearts all over it, which is what drew me to it the most, as it is adorable.
Beauty Bay describe this as a soft pink, but in my opinion it’s more of a light champagne with small flecks of silver glitter. If you don’t like glittery highlight then you won’t like this, as it does contain chunky glitter. The finish you get with this depends on how much you apply, if you want a subtle look then don’t apply much, but if you’re after a stronger highlight then apply more.
It also lasts all day, and costs £15. This highlight isn’t the cheapest on the market, but it’s not the most expensive either, it’s definitely more of a middle of the road.
Have you tried Doll Beauty before?
