I really enjoy these posts, so I’ve been making an effort to save the bottles and containers to make more of these posts. Who’d have thought we’d get to Empties #3. This is the third one in this little ‘series’, as you can tell by the 3 in the title. I thought adding the numbers would make it easier to navigate, as hopefully these will be a regular occurrence.
This is Empties #3!
Mario Badescu | Facial Spray with Aloe Cucumber and Green Tea

These facial sprays seem to be everywhere at the minute. When I first started using this, I was very unsure, as it felt like it wasn’t doing much, but after using it for a while I grew to love it. I don’t think it’s a Skincare necessity, but it’s a nice bonus. Especially when the weathers nice, and you could do with a refresh. Overall I like this and it’s a good, affordable refreshing mist.
Repurchase?: Yes, I want to try the Lavender one next!
Bod | Pink Salt and Coconut Scrub

I never hear anyone talk about this, which is a shame. In all fairness if you hate glitter then you’ll hate this, as it contains iridescent glitter. At first it is noticeable, but I don’t think it lasts long. Plus it seems to only show in certain lighting, and there’s not a lot, so it’s great for night outs and occasions like that. The only downside with this is for 200ml it sure doesn’t last long. It’s an amazing exfoliator and smells great too.
Repurchase?: Yes!
Nip & Fab | Dragon’s Blood Fix Cleansing Pads

I didn’t know what to expect from these, but I was very pleasantly surprised. First of all I think the price is a little steep, but you do get 60 pads, and there seems to be offers on a lot of time. The pads are soaked in the product, so there’s no mess. Ingredients include: Salicylic and Hyaluronic acids, which cleanses pores and leaves the skin looking plumper with long lasting hydration. I used these every night and in the morning when I remembered, and with continued use I saw a real difference. My skin felt a lot better, and my redness had gone down a lot.
Repurchase?: Definitely!
Soap and Glory | Speed Plump All Day Super Moisture Marvel Moisturiser

That name is a mouthful. I feel like I’ve not been blown away by this moisturiser, it’s good, but it’s not incredible. If you’re looking for a good moisturiser then this won’t disappoint. It’s when you start reading the claims and see everything it’s supposed to do. It claims to make the skin: tighter, brighter, firmer and softer. The last one fair enough, but I’m not 100% on the others. This was my moisturiser of choice throughout Spring and Summer and it did a good job. It’s not heavy, so not the best for Winter. It’s also not greasy either, and it doesn’t leave the skin feeling sticky. Overall it’s ok, but nothing extraordinary.
Repurchase?: I wouldn’t rush, but maybe in Summer?
Liz Earle | Instant Boost Skin Tonic

I feel like nobody talks about Liz Earle as much as they used to. The hot cloth cleanser used to be everywhere, but it doesn’t seem to be brought up anymore. Toners don’t seem to be very popular, as I know a lot of people don’t use them, but I feel like they’re a necessary step to make sure all the makeup and cleanser has been removed. I wasn’t keen on the scent when I first started using it, as it’s slightly floral, but it grew on me after a while. As this toner contains Aloe Vera it is a much welcome step to add a little more moisture to my face.
Repurchase?: I want to experiment and try some other toners first, but maybe one day.
Maybelline | Lash Sensational Mascara

This has been a firm favourite of mine for years. If there’s one thing Maybelline does right that’s mascaras, and this one is no different. I find that this adds length to my lashes as well as a little volume which is always a good thing for my short and stumpy lashes.
Repurchase?: Definitely
Primark | Glow Setting Spray

If this was a YouTube video you’d be getting the sigh; you know what I mean. When I first got this I loved it, I recommended it to everyone and it got me through my holiday in September. Now I’ve come to the end of it, and by that I mean there really isn’t much left, but I could get some more use out of it if I wanted. Every time I use it now I get big white chunks of glitter on my face that don’t budge. It never used to do that, and I’ve not changed anything. I still shake it, and after the first shimmer particle incident, I shook it for a good few minutes, but I still had the visible shimmer particles. With the bottle not being clear either, it’s hard to see exactly whats going on, but something isn’t right. It was only £4, and there isn’t a lot of product left, so I’m decided to get rid as I don’t want to use it again.
Repurchase?: Not after the glitter incident
That is everything for Empties #3! I’m never sure where to cut these posts off, how long is too long? Was this long enough, or could it have benefited from more products?
That was Empties #3!
Have you finished any products lately?
Thank you for reading!

I love love love mario badescue sprays, they’re honestly some of my favorites. I switch between the cucumber and the rose water spray! I would also love to try the lavender like you do! I haven’t tried any of the products you mentioned, and while I was curious about the soap and glory moisturizer, you said it’s not heavy enough for the winter, and I have SUPER dry skin. Great post Hannah ! xxx

I’m glad you like them too, they’re great! I got the lavender one not that long ago and it’s so good. Yeah it’s not too heavy, so it’s not one for the winter. Thank you so much xx
