If anyone ever says blogging is easy, they’re lying. Sometimes one of the hardest parts of blogging is staying inspired to create new content week after week. That’s why I thought I’d share some of the things that help me. I’m not saying this will cure your writers block, but this is what helps me and if I find that none of these help, then I take a break, as sometimes thats all you need.
This is Four Tips to Help You Stay Inspired With Blogging!
Have a Scroll on Pinterest
Not even a scroll, you can search for pretty much anything. I don’t know about your homepage, but mine is full of inspiring images. Whether it be outfits, recipes or blog posts. If you’re ever struggling it’s really worth having a look on Pinterest, as you never know what you’ll find that’ll get your inspiration flowing.
Shop Your Stash
Sometimes when I’m struggling for an idea for a post, I look through the makeup that I own and I’m instantly inspired with ideas. As a makeup blogger it can be hard to not get sucked into the mindset of needing to get all of the new products to stay up to date, but as there are so many new releases now it’s impossible to keep up. Review that highlighter you love, or share a selection of your favourite palettes.
Read Other Blogs
I mentioned this in my post about ‘How I Fell Back in Love Wit Blogging’, as this is what helps me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that it’s ok to copy (as it definitely isn’t) but you can put your own twists on things. For example I saw a lot of people doing monthly to-do lists and as someone who likes to make lists, I decided to make my own.
Don’t Over Complicate It
It’s your blog and you can write whatever you want and that’s the beauty of having a blog. I got into the mindset a few years ago of having to blog about certain things that suited the niche I was in, but that’s not entirely true. You can blog about whatever you want to, some examples are: what music you’re into it at the minute, or do a weekly roundup of what you’ve been up. The possibilities are endless.
There we have it! Those are some things to help me stay inspired to blog. Like I said at the beginning if nothing seems to help, then take a break, sometimes some time away is all you need.

What inspires you to blog?
Thank you for reading!
Reading other blogs definitely inspires me, and makes me think about what I can get creating! Becca x
It’s great isn’t it?!xx

Thank you, I’m glad you think so too! It really is, it can be so hard. Same here, it’s always so inspiring xx
I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and other blogs. I’m also the worst for overcomplicating things. I try to make things perfect and then talk myself out of things all together ā” This post is very helpful!
They’re great for inspiration aren’t they? I know what you mean, I’m terrible for that too. Thank you, I’m glad you think so xx
I never browse Pinterest so I’ll start doing that. I always go back to basics when I’m feeling uninspired or lacking motivation – back to writing what I like to read and I also take a break. Great tips x
I hope it helps you! That is a great idea, going back to basics is fab! Taking a break is sometimes needed. Thank you, I’m glad you think so xx
Yes Han, what a great post! I feel like for me reading a book, or watching a tv show or movie sometimes inspires me and my blog. Even a conversation that I have with a friend can spark an idea. As a lifestyle blogger, I honestly write about whatever floats my boat. The one thing that I do make sure of is the fact that it sparks some type of passion! Again, great post xxx

Thank you, I’m glad you think so! A big yes to both of those, they’re great ways to help. Sometimes the littlest thing can really inspire you. That’s the best way to be! If there’s the passion behind it, it will always be good. Thank you xx
I like to try and stay in my own lane and not look at other bloggers and what they’re doing. I also try and give myself mini monthly goals to keep inspired xo
Makeup Muddle
If that’s what helps you then keep going. For me reading other blogs makes me miss blogging and I instantly feel like I want to do it again. Goals are always a good thing too xx

I definitely should use Pinterest to look for inspiration more often. I always look to blogs I love for inspiration as well and often put my own twist on posts theyāve written x
Pinterest is great because they have pretty much anything you could want on there. I’m glad that helps you too xx
I actually haven’t given Pinterest a good look at recently, deffo need to! I find reading other people’s blogs so inspiring and I think you do get a lot of inspiration from them! xx
http://www.iridescentplaces.com
I hope it helps you! I’m glad that way helps you too xx
I also use pinterest & other blogs for inspiration but it’s hard when I mainly focus on travelling as people think I need to travel to loads of places to get inspiration! Sometimes I find it hard and get jealous when I see people tweeting or posting about how they’ve planned for months in advance – I just think “HOW DO YOU DO IT?” haha
I know what you mean! I can imagine that being a travel blogger is so difficult, but keep on it! Totally relate, but you do what suits you, as that’s the best way to go xx
Love your tips! I haven’t been on Pinterest in past couple of months, gotta check on!
