It’s finally February! In all fairness I think January gets unnecessary hate, but that’s probably because it’s my birthday on the 27th, so I always have something to look forward to. The end of the month also means a new favourites post, which I always enjoy putting together.
These are my January Favourites 2020!
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Modern Renaissance
This is an unexpected favourite for me. I bought this a while ago, when red eyeshadows were coming from everywhere. As I hadn’t really experimented with them yet. Then I discovered that red eyeshadows are not my thing. I recently pulled this palette out again and fell in love with the neutral shades. Mainly Vermeer. The shades are incredibly pigmented, so you don’t need to apply that much.
Revolution | Conceal and Define Concealer
I recently repurchased this concealer after getting through a number of my others. It’s safe to say that it’s one of my favourites. It’s medium to full coverage with a matte finish. I use it under my eyes, and always set it with a loose powder and it never creases. It’s long lasting and extremely good value for money. I have the supersize version which is £6.95.
Urban Decay | All Nighter Setting Spray
Another rediscovery! This setting spray has quickly become one of my favourites once again, as it does its job flawlessly. If you want a setting spray that leaves a matte finish then this is the one for you. The only problem with this is that it can make my skin look dry, if I’m having a bad skin day. Luckily it’s been working great this month.
ColourPop | Shaka Lip Crayon
I love how quick and easy this lip crayon is. It doesn’t last all day considering it’s very creamy and hydrating; which isn’t a bad thing as it is really easy to reapply. The lid is secure, so it’s good for travelling too. The shade I have been loving is Shaka which ColourPop describe as a sheer yellow toned nude. I was a little put off by that description, but this is a very flattering nude shade that goes with everything.
ColourPop | Stole The Show Super Shock Highlighter
It is no secret that I love the ColourPop super shock highlighters, and Stole the Show has become my new favourite. It is the perfect colour for my pale skin, as ColourPop describe it as a light warm silver with flashes of pink, silver and gold. This highlight is also extremely blinding, so you only need a small amount. The formula is really creamy, so it’s best applied with fingers.
I Turned 23
I already mentioned my birthday at the beginning of this post, but I just had to include it here too. On the 27th January I turned 23 and I was very spoilt. I had a quiet day with it being a Monday, but I’ll be out celebrating with friends on the weekend, so that’s something else to look forward to too.
There we have it, those are my January favourites 2020!
What were you loving in January?
