I tell you what, it may have taken me 23 years to get into wearing blusher, but it has quickly become one of my favourite products to use. It’s strange how tastes change isn’t it? When I had the chance to try and review some goodies from Jolie Beauty I jumped at the chance, as everything they do looks so beautiful.
Which means everything in this post has been gifted to me, but all opinions are my own.
Let’s get into the Jolie Beauty Second Skin Blush and Bronzer Review.
Who are Jolie Beauty?
Jolie Beauty is a cruelty free and partially vegan brand. It’s always worth checking the ingredients to be sure. Who also donate to animal charities to spread awareness of animal testing. The brand was created by a host of makeup artists who have worked at brands such as MAC, Sephora and Clinique. Their aim is to create unique and quality products for makeup lovers and makeup artists.
The Second Skin Range
The second skin range consists of three cruelty free and vegan bronzers, that cater for light, medium and dark skin tones. There are also five cruelty free and vegan blushers too. They are £14.99 each with the bronzers having 13g worth of product and the blushers 15g.
All of the products arrived in a white holographic cardboard box and the compacts inside were secured in bubblewrap to help stop the product from shattering. I personally love the packaging and find it really simplistic and pleasant to look at.
The compacts are a reflective rose gold with a white logo across the front. They’re also very secure, so I imagine travelling won’t be a problem. Another bonus is that there is a mirror which is always helpful. The only thing I dislike is the reflective packaging. Mine are already covered in fingerprints, as it just doesn’t stay clean.
I was sent three products, two blushers and a bronzer. The shades I have are Rendezvous, Flushed and Latte.
This is the one I was the most excited to try. It looks like such a beautiful shade of pink and let me tell you; it does not disappoint. If you have pale skin then this shade is for you. It’s pigmented, but it builds beautifully, so it’s best to start off with a small amount and build it up. Even though it blends just as easily and is just a dream to work with. What I love the most about this is that it lasts all day, I was a little worried it would fade after a while, but it does not move.
I was a little unsure about this one when I saw it in the pan, as it’s like nothing I’ve tried before. Flushed is more on the peachy side, but it’s not as dark as it looks in the pan. It has the same dreamy formula as Rendezvous and is the most beautiful colour. It looks natural as it reminds me of a colour your cheeks would turn if it was cold outside.
Another shade that I was a little unsure of at first due to the look of the shade. This bronzer has just the right amount of pigment, as I’ve never struggled with applying too much and having to frantically blend it out. Just like the blushers the formula is beautiful, as it builds easily and doesn’t look muddy or heavy. I love using this shade to contour, as it’s perfect for it.
Top to Bottom: Latte, Rendezvous and Flushed.
Overall I really enjoy using all three of these products, as I have been using them everyday for a while now and have no complaints about the formula. I’d recommend these to everybody, especially the blushers. They’re beginner friendly as it’s very hard to go wrong with them due to how natural the finish is.
A huge thank you for to Jolie Beauty for sending these out!
