Is is acceptable to start all of my favourites posts with me apologising for being late? Because here we are again... I feel like I have really fallen in love with creating content again, as I’ve really enjoyed the posts I’ve written in the past few days. Which hopefully means I will be back for a lot longer than I have been before. Anyway, I have a lot of favourites for October, so prepare yourself.
These are my October Favourites 2020.
Too Faced | Sweet Peach Palette
Ever since I rediscovered this palette in the summer it’s pretty much all I’ve been using. I tried to switch things up and find another love, but I soon came back to this one. I’ve found a look that I love and it takes barely any time at all, so I find myself gravitating towards it all of the time. So I had to have a place in my October Favourites 2020.
MAC | Faux Lipstick
Just lately I have been using the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the shade Dancefloor Princess pretty much everyday. I’ve been trying to work my way through it, but in October I decided to switch it up and use Faux instead. Faux is my all time favourite MAC lipstick and every time I use it I’m reminded on why I love it. I have a full review if you are interested.
Jolie Beauty | Blushers
I was gifted these products, but all opinions are my own. Blush is a new thing for me, as I’ve only just started to get into wearing it, but I love it. Both of these apply beautifully, as they’re pigmented but they blend like a dream. Rendezvous is the lighter one out of the two and is light pink. Flushed is a little darker, but still works on my pale skin and is more peachy. I have a full review if you would like to read more about them.
Wet n Wild | Blossom Glow Highlighter
I put this highlighter on the back burner in 2020, as I wanted to rotate through the products I own, as I found myself always reaching for this one. In October I finally went back to it, and I realised why I love it so much. I find with this you can apply one layer if you like something a little more muted, but you can build it for a more intense look without it exaggerating texture. It lasts all day, and is the most beautiful iridescent silver.
Lights Lacquer | Serendipity and Ruby
I don’t really talk about nail polish a lot on my blog, but these shades really surprised me. Serendipity is described as your classic red with a pink undertone and I must admit that when I first saw it I wasn’t expecting much. It looked like the pink undertone could be a little strong, but boy was I wrong. This is most definitely your classic red, which is a colour I was missing. Ruby is another shade I wasn’t expecting much from because when I swatched it, the chunky glitter made it hard to apply, but it’s not like that on the nails at all. In fact the chunky glitter makes no difference. It’s very vampy, and I think this is all that’s going to be on my nails until January.
A bit of a strange one, but I have been really liking Instagram throughout October. I decided to start posting twice a day and found myself really enjoying it. Which came as a total surprise because I thought I’d do it for a week and then get tired of it, but it’s been the opposite. Posting more means that I’m taking photos regularly which helps keep me motivated and creative and I’ve been looking forward to posting. I also had a stint of posting regularly on stories, but that didn’t last as I realised that I have nothing to talk about…
Another different one, as I haven’t covered fashion before. October saw me really try and put more effort into what I wore. Last year I did not care at all, and found myself living in joggers for practically the entire winter because I didn’t feel comfortable in anything. Now I’ve lost a little bit of weight and feeling a lot better about myself. So I’ve actually wanted to get into fashion and find pieces that go together instead of having a wardrobe of clothes that don’t really go.
We Had an Offer Accepted on a House
Possibly the most exciting one. It’s still early stages due to a whole bunch of reasons, but I really wanted to share it here. So I can look back and know that October 2020 was the month it happened. I will be moving out with my boyfriend Jake and we’re ecstatic that we found our perfect home.
There we have it! A very long October Favourites 2020.
What were you loving throughout October?
