For the first time since April last year, my monthly favourites post contains no makeup. Throughout January I think I wore makeup once, because I just haven’t felt like wearing it. It’s been a nice break, but I must admit that I’m starting to miss it, so hopefully February’s post is beauty filled.
These are my January Favourites 2021.
Animal Crossing
I loved Animal Crossing last year, I played it religiously for a few months, and at the end of the Summer I left it and never went back. I’m not sure what made me pick it back up, but I’ve been loving it. I decided to completely re-do my island and it’s reignited my love for it.
CGD London Planner
At the beginning of January I decided to get a planner, and I went with the Getting Stuff Done planner from CGD. It’s the first planner I’ve had where I’ve been inspired to use it everyday. My favourite part is the daily quote because I take my time to pick one off of Pinterest and it really helps my mood and keeps my productivity up. The only downside is that it only has 288 pages, so I can’t use it everyday.
Decluttering
I had a huge declutter this month, and boy was it much needed. At the moment I currently have five bin liners ready to go the charity shop once they reopen. I went through my wardrobe and finally let go of clothes I had been holding onto, as well as throwing out expired makeup that was at the back of my draws. It’s been really nice to let go, and hopefully some of the things go to a better home.
Netflix
I’m not a TV/ movie person at all, but throughout January I found myself watching Netflix a lot. After reading Beckie’s post of her favourite shows, one of them caught my eye and I knew I had to watch it. That show is Next in Fashion and it’s fair to say that I loved it. I got through it in three days, and I really hope that there will be a season 2. Once I finished that I decided to watch The Circle USA and I got through that extremely quickly as well.
We Moved House!
Finally the thing I’ve been talking about for what feels like forever has happened! On the 29th of January, Jake and I moved into our very first home. It’s been such an exciting time, and I still don’t feel like it’s sunk in. We have so many plans, and things we want to change, but we’re finding it hard with the shops being shut. I’m just super happy about it, and feel proud of what we’ve managed to achieve.

Congrats ont he new house and moving in! We did a big declutter with moving to our current house after we built it although I think now it’s been 2 years we should really do another one, things accumulate so quickly, haha!

Well with the pandemic that is not surprising. I had a Netflix account but cancelled it about 6 months ago as there was nothing on it I wanted to watch but I my start it up again.

Congratulations on your new home! In January I loved the outdoorsy lifestyle. We are still in lockdown here in The Netherlands so technically it’s the only thing we are allowed to do, hahaha, but it’s nice to go for a long walk and get some fresh air every day. I also made a lot of soups and stews. So yummy!
