Perfume is always something I’ve loved. I remember spending hours in Debenhams testing all of the ones I could and then returning for a spritz once I found my favourites. Nowadays it’s much harder to test perfumes with the pandemic and Debenhams becoming an online only store.
In 2019 I shared my Perfume Collection with you, but since then some perfumes have come and gone. So I thought I’d share the new additions with you.
This is New Additions to My Perfume Collection.
Tom Ford | Black Orchid
For a while now I’ve been struggling with evening scents. My collection is mainly light, fresh and fruity scents that are more catered to daytime wear. This led me to search for a perfume that would fit the bill and I found myself drawn to Black Orchid. Now that I have it, I have no regrets; it’s such a beautiful scent that lasts all day. It has such a strong scent, and it lingers all day and sometimes I find myself smelling it as I’m trying to sleep.
Top Notes: Jasmine, Gardenia, Blackcurrant, Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin, Tuberose.
Heart Notes: Orchid, Spicy notes, Fruity notes, Lotus.
Base Notes: Vetiver, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Incense, Amber, Chocolate, Vanilla.
This mix makes a truly beautiful perfume, that will be amazing when lockdown is lifted and we can go out again.
Jo Malone | Pomegranate Noir
I’ve had this perfume on my radar for a while now, and I was lucky enough to receive it for Christmas. When I bought my mum the Pomegranate Noir candle, I fell head over hells for the scent. To me it is similar to Black Orchid, only in the fact that it is more of an evening scent. That is dark and spicy, in fact they’d be brilliant in Autumn and Winter too. This scent lasts all day on me, and it’s a very strong scent. I only need one spray, as it can become overbearing to wear if I spray too much.
Top Notes: Pomegranate
Heart Notes: Casablanca Lily
Base Notes: Guaiacwood

I’ve never used any Jo Malone scents but I’ve always heard such great things! Pomegranate Noir sounds likes great fragrance for both a perfume and a candle!

I absolutely love Jo Malone, I have lots of candles but not perfumes – although I used to go in store and sniff them all endlessly!

Oh both sound like great perfumes! I haven’t been able to smell a perfume since COVID stole my taste and smell 4 months ago 🙁 but I can’t wait for the moment I can finally smell perfumes again (and taste chocolate lol).

The Tom Ford fragrance sounds right up my street! My favourite is Lady Million but I would like to add a new scent into my collection soon. Something super fresh for Summer! x

Wow you’ve got a great collection! I don’t really own any proper perfumes but I use a lot of body sprays. I’m guessing I need to be converted soon as I’m seeing SO many good perfume reviews lately! Time to break the bank! 😛

I don’t know why but Joan Malone products give me the biggest headaches! But, I love the sound of the Tom Ford one. I’ve heard amazing things about it, and the fact that you love it just as much, says I might need to spurge and get this one myself. Great post Han xxx

I haven’t tried any Tom Ford fragrances yet, but once we’re allowed to spray testers in shops I will be on it haha! Jo Malone fragrances are lovely, I have the Waterlily fragrance from last years Summer collection and it is stunning! x

My husband bought me a Pomegranate Noir Gift Set and I felt so bad, because i really hated the scent – I could only smell cloves, which reminded me of a toothache, when I used loads of clove oil to try to numb it! x

I’ve always loved the smell of the Tom Ford Black Orchid perfume but I’ve never bought it! I might have to treat myself when we’re allowed to go out in the evenings again, I’m sure it’ll help set the mood!
