December Favourites 2018

I know we’re in 2019, but I still have to do my December favourites… just because. You know I like a good old favourites post, and I do have my yearly favourites nearly ready to go too. My 2017 one is still one of my favourite posts I’ve done.

First of all, I hope you had an amazing Christmas, and a Happy New Year! In this post I’ll be going through everything I’ve been loving in December.

Let’s get into it!

Too Faced | Hangover Primer

This primer was my go to in 2017, but after a while I stopped repurchasing. I received this for Christmas and now I regret ever stopping using it. This primer is very hydrating, and my skin looks so much healthier when I’ve used this.

Tarte | Shape Tape Concealer

I’m pretty sure I bought this in the summer and it was too light for me, but now that it’s Winter it’s a better match. I find that it’s easy to apply too much so I always have to wipe a lot of excess product off first. The coverage is great and it doesn’t crease. I know pretty much everyone talks about this and is definitely worth the hype.

ColourPop | I Think I Love You Eyeshadow Palette

As you can see I’ve not used much, so it is kind of cheating to include it here. In my defence I haven’t had it for very long, but when I used it I loved it. Excuses I know. I used this on Christmas and it didn’t last all day, but that was a long day. My favourite shade is the one on the bottom left which is called: Screw it. It’s described as a metallic soft rose gold.

Laura Mercier | Translucent Setting Powder

I’ve had this for a while and it’s showing no sign of using up. Considering I use it every time I do my makeup that is pretty good going. I’ve always used this to set my under eyes, and it leaves a truly flawless finish and my concealer does not budge. In December I’ve started using this to set my entire face and I’ve suffered with transfer a lot less. I know this powder is a lot of money, but it’s truly worth it.

Charlotte Tilbury | Lip Lustre Seduction

I treated myself to a few bits from the Charlotte Tilbury Black Friday sale. Even though they changed my order, I still managed to get the set that this gloss came in. Gloss has been my thing lately, it’s so comfortable even though it’s not long wearing. Seduction is a beautiful classic nude. This gloss isn’t sticky, but it does need reapplying regularly.

Galaxy Chocolate

If you’re after a blogger to help you make healthy food choices then you have come to the wrong place. Believe it or not I’m not a huge chocolate fan, so it’s been a while since I’ve had Galaxy. In December my advent calendar was Galaxy, and I received a selection box for Christmas. Both reminded me of how much I love it, especially the caramel version. Delicious.

Christmas

Christmas is my favourite day of the year. It’s a day to enjoy with family and good food. We go out for our Christmas dinner, as we struggle fitting everybody into one house. The highlight for me was seeing my Nan’s face whilst opening her presents, being able to spoil her is one of my favourite things and seeing her happy is the highlight.

I’m going to leave this here, as this list is getting a little out of hand already. I hope you’ve enjoyed!

What were you loving throughout December?

Thank you for reading!

That photo of you and your family is beautiful – so warming!!

I’m so ashamed to say that I haven’t used any of these beauty products yet, aah! I really want to try the Tarte Concealer though, so that will definitely be a purchase I make at some point this year. I’ve also always wanted to try a Charlotte Tilburry product, so that’s another thing to do a little research on as well!

Great post and gorgeous photos! x

I have the too faced primer and for me it’s the scent that puts me off using it more but it’s such a good product! I’m yet to buy any colour pop products I think it’s time I bit the bullet and placed an order. Great post xo

Love these favourites! I really want to try the Too Faced primer as it’s always been primer that I have heard lots of other people recommend. I am obsessed with the palettes by Colourpop the only thing that breaks my heart is how long the delivery is and the payment slip to Royal Mail when it comes through the door! Great post x

Thank you! It’s such a fab one, it’s done wonders for the appearance of my skin. They have so many to pick from don’t they, but that’s true- it takes ages! You don’t get the payment slip anymore though, it’s all included at the checkout! Thank you xx

You have some great favorites this month! I’ve been looking for a good primer to use and one that is hydrating would be perfect, so that Too Faced one is now on my list to try. And I’ve heard so many people talk about that Tarte concealer that I now feel like I’m missing out not having tried it yet. Can’t wait for your 2018 favorites!

omg, I love all the things you’ve chosen for your favorites! I love tarte shape tape, it’s been my die hard concealer for almost 2 years now! My sister actually is the one who owns the hangover primer, and i’ve been dying to get my hands on it for myself, because it’s so hydrating and does wonders to my dry skin! I’ve actually never tried the laura mercier powder or that specific colourpop eye shadow palette, but I’ve heard great things about that setting powder, and I love most if not all of the colourpop eye shadow palettes I own! Great post Hannah 🙂 xxx
