We’re back again with another empties post, and can you believe that this is empties 5?! Time is flying… well it would be, if I posted them closer together. Yes my empties post are few and far between, but I should be getting better at that, as I have officially started a beauty low buy. Which means I’ll be able to focus on what I already have and get some products finished and in the bin.
I’ve also made the executive decision to not include duplicate products in my empties. By that I mean if a product has appeared in an empties post then I won’t include it in a future post. It’s to stop things becoming repetitive, as there’s only so many ways I can rave about my favourites.
Let’s get into Empties #5.
Anastasia Beverly Hills | Dewy Set Setting Spray

I am ashamed to admit that I must have an IQ of minus 5. As when I first saw this, I thought the glitter packaging was the actual product. I KNOW, I don’t know what was going on in my head either. What makes it worse is that the product doesn’t have any shimmer at all! I was truly bamboozled. This spray is designed to keep the skin looking radiant, which is perfect for my dry skin. It does get a big tick for the scent though, as vanilla and coconut never disappoints.
Repurchase?: Yes, I would be willing to try it again.
Tarte | Shape Tape Concealer

The concealer of the moment, everybody is talking about this and I totally see why. It’s full coverage, and you don’t need to use a lot of product, as a little goes a long way. It lasts all day, and it’s never creased or flaked. I have the shade fair, and I use it to brighten the under eyes.
Repurchase?: As much as I love it, I can’t commit to a daily concealer that costs £29.
Benefit | Bad Gal Bang Mascara

And we’re on to the first product that I didn’t enjoy all that much. It’s not bad, It’s just not exceptional, you know? It’s ok, but that’s not what I’m after. This mascara lengthens and separates the lashes, but I wish it added more volume. If you pair it with something then its better, but still… meh.
Repurchase?: I wouldn’t rush.
Maybelline | Fit Me Concealer

I am so glad to finally have this gone, I’ve had this for a lot longer than I’d like to admit. A huge benefit is that I’ve really enjoyed it. It glides on and feels very lightweight and creamy. It isn’t heavy and it’s never faded or creased. A winner all around.
Repurchase?: Yes!
Laura Geller | Filter First Foundation

First of all I think this foundation has been discontinued, but I think I’ve seen a new luminous foundation from them in the works. I’m not mad that this foundation has been discontinued, as even though I like it, I wouldn’t put it in my top three. I always found that this foundation stayed tacky, so it had to be set with a powder which kind of defeated the luminous aspect.
Repurchase?: Even if it hadn’t been discontinued, probably not.
Glossier | Priming Moisturiser

I loved using this as a hydrating base for my makeup, as my dry skin needs all the help it can get. This has some amazing ingredients in it, like: Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E. Which means it left my skin feeling hydrated and my foundation always sat nicely over the top. This lasted me a long time too, as you really don’t need to use that much.
Repurchase?: I wouldn’t rush, but it’s not a bad product. Maybe one day.
Nip+ Fab | Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads

These were a huge factor of what smoothed out my skin when I was suffering with texture. My skin instantly looked a lot better after I had used these for a few days. Since I’ve used them up, I’ve got to say that I’ve not missed them. I think I slightly prefer the Dragons Blood Cleansing Pads, so I’ll look for those next time.
Repurchase?: I’ll try and get the Dragons Blood pads next time.
The Body Shop | Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream

I absolutely loved using this moisturiser. It’s not greasy at all which is something I was a little worried about with it being an intense cream. When I ran out of the Glossier Priming Moisturiser I switched to this and this makes a great base for makeup, so I’ll be switching to this permanently. I thought I would be struggling with my dry skin now that it’s Winter, but I’m sure that this has helped my skin to feel hydrated.
Repurchase?: Yes!
There we have it: my Empties #5.
What have you used up recently?
Thank you for reading!

I loved bad gal bang, I feel it gives more length than lash sensational but maybe that’s just what works better for me. Also love the fit me concealer but really wanna try shape tape too!
-Kyra
I’m glad you like it! I think mascaras are so hard to review because everyone has different needs/ preferences. The fit me is so good, but so is shape tape! I hope you’re able to try it xx
I assumed that ABH spray was glittery too, which is why I skipped it up to now. I might buy it x
Yeah, the packaging is pretty misleading xx
Loved this post, I don’t think it was too long at all! I’ve never tried the Shape Tape concealer but it sounds amazing xx
Thank you so much and I’m so glad that you think so! Ah no way, it’s such a classic and for good reason xx
I’m included with everyone else I loveee the shape tape concealer! I need a new moisturizer I’ll have to check that one out!

I love the Maybelline fit me concealer! I very rarely buy any other now. I still need to try some of the Vitamin E range from The Body Shop, I’ve always heard great things about it xx

It’s such a good one isn’t it?! I don’t blame you at all! I love it a lot, it’s pretty much all I use haha x

Lauren
It’s so good isn’t it?! Glad you like it too xx
A good mix of empties! ABH has been stepping up lately. I saw Laura Geller was discontinued at Ulta and moved to Macy’s which is interesting. So much of her stuff is at Marshalls these days. I’ve tried those Nip + Fab wipes too and I agree they’re pretty meh.

Thank you! They really have! It’s a weird one, I thought I saw someone mention a new foundation, but it seems like the brands being discontinued as a whole. Yeah, they’re nothing spectacular xx
I loved reading your thoughts on all of these products! I love Maybelline concealers too! That ABH setting spray looks gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it too. The packaging is great! No problem, thank you for stopping by xx
I love reading empties posts. I find them so much more helpful than favourites as you know what a person 100% feels, and knowing if they’d repurchase. Some of my faves are here, I love the Maybelline concealer. It’s such an oldie, but one of my favourites and I could totally only use that concealer from now on and be happy. I really wanted to try that Anastasia Beverly Hills setting spray, it sounds lovely xx
Makeup Muddle
I’m glad you like them too, they’re so helpful aren’t they?! The Maybelline concealer is fab, and same! I hope you like it if you try it xx
omg I love shape tape, I feel like the product just lasts forever! I have never tried any of the other products before! I have to say that I was curious about the ABH setting spray, but the fact that you wouldn’t rush to repurchase it shows that it’s not that amazing. While I don’t think I’m going to do an empties post, I’ve considered trying a project pan, since I’ve been trying to use up some of the products I currently own. Great post xxx

It lasts forever doesn’t it?! Yeah, it’s a nice spray, but it’s nothing groundbreaking. I hope all goes well with your project pan, it seems like such a fun challenge. Thank you xx
I have the maybelline concealer and love it too! I think it’s great you’re trying to use what you have, that’s such a great initiative to consuming less! xx
It’s such a good one isn’t it?! Yeah it’s been a great learning curve to get into using instead of consuming all of the new products xx
I really want to give that body shop cream a try! it’s great you liked it 🙂 I’ve heard good things form others about that tarte concealer too!
Hope that your week is going well! 🙂
The vitamin E range is such a good one. I hope you like it too! The Tarte concealer is such a good one. Thank you, and I hope yours is too xx
The Bodyshop is definitely one of my faves.

The Body Shop Vitamin E moisturiser is my absolute favourite too!

For a second I thought that the Anastasia Beverly Hill spray had actual glitter I was about to throw my money at them. I keep seeing many Glossier reviews so I hope I will get to try them soon.
