May Favourites 2020

It’s finally time for another monthly favourites, and unlike last month I actually have some makeup favourites. I never actually wore any last month, but I’ve experimented a little with makeup this month, so I have a few inclusions. May has been another month of socially distancing and barely leaving the house, so this is pretty much everything that I’ve enjoyed whilst staying home.

Let’s get into my May Favourites 2020!

MAC | Beaming Blush Highlighter

This highlighter is a rediscovery for me, as I found it whilst clearing out my draws during last months declutter. Beaming blush has a warm pink base with added pink and gold shimmer. It’s a lovely colour that is unlike anything else I have in my collection. I always apply this with a brush and it takes 2-3 layers to get a finish I’m happy with. It’s not a blinding highlight, but it is shimmery with a few sparkles added in for good measure.

Morphe | Continuous Setting Mist

I have been loving this setting spray this month. The mist application makes it unlike anything I’ve tried before. Even though it is easy to go overboard with the mist, it’s very fine and doesn’t take long to dry. It has more of a natural finish, but it never leaves me looking dry which is what can happens with matte formulas.

Animal Crossing

I know I included this in my March Favourites, but I have spent a lot of time on it again in May. I finally achieved a three star island in May, so I’ve spent a lot of time terraforming and switching things around. I’ve still got a lot to do to get it how I want it, but I’m not time travelling as I’m enjoying doing a little bit day by day.

Working Out

In May I decided to have a little bit of a lifestyle change, and with that has come an increased amount of exercise. To my surprise, I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve been going out for a walk everyday and exercising in the evenings. I’ve been using the app Streaks: Workout, and I’ve just bought a resistance band to try and incorporate.

Just Dance

I’ve always enjoyed playing Just Dance on my Nintendo Switch and I’ve been on it a lot more this month. It’s probably my favourite way to workout, as it never feels like exercise. It’s fun and a great way to get moving. I’ve just bought the 2020 version too, as it was half price on the eShop.

Cooking and Baking

I know, I know… another repeat. This month I’ve experimented with new recipes and I’ve been very happy with the results. I tend to document everything over on my Instagram stories; which mainly happens to be the end result. I’ve made Creamy Garlic Chicken from the Pinch of Nom book, Sticky Chicken Noodles and White Chocolate and Raspberry Cookies to name a few examples.There we have it. Those are my May Favourites 2020. A few repeats, but I’d rather that than lie.
