February Favourites 2016

It feels like the right time to bring back the monthly favourites posts, considering my last one was from July last year.  This time around I have quite a lot of products to share with you, as I found myself really enjoying certain things that I cannot wait to share with you.

These have quickly become my all time favourite lipstick formula, and I can’t get enough. I have two shades: Melted Chihuahua, which is a mauve nude and Melted Peony which is a bubblegum pink. Out of the two Chihuahua is my favourite, as it is  a perfect everyday shade. It also has a slightly better formula, as Peony feels a lot dryer and tends to settle into fine lines. Too Faced really knows how to do a liquid lipstick, as the matte version is also one of my favourites.

Even though I love this palette, in this post I’m only talking about the shade High. High is a champagne shimmer with micro glitter that makes a lovely inner corner highlight. I also love using shades like this all over the lid, for a light subtle shimmer.

The Balm | Mary Lou Manizer

First of all I know what you’re thinking; that doesn’t look very loved. I actually finished my old one, and this is a new one, as I’m sure you don’t want to see an empty pan. It’s the first time I’ve ever finished a highlighter so I’m super happy about it. I do have a full review on this, so I won’t go into too much detail here. This highlighter is such a lovely golden champagne colour, and is pigmented.

Too Faced | Better Than Sex Mascara

I have been seeing this mascara everywhere, with rave reviews; and let’s just say it did not disappoint. This mascara lengthens, curls and thickens. Which are all things I look for in a  mascara, so I love that this one does all three.The hourglass shaped brush really grabs all of the lashes too.

The Library Fragrance | Sunshine

This might be the least seasonal thing to include here, but I have been on holiday and wore it 24/7. The Library Fragrance describe this scent as: ‘cotton warmed by the sun’. Which I don’t think is all that helpful, but it’s better than nothing. I feel like this is such an unusual summer scent, as it’s not your typical tropical coconuts, but I love it.
