I haven’t done an empties post in so long (mainly because I forget to save the empty bottles). It’s finally time to do another one, so here is a selection of products I have used up, and my thoughts on them.
I feel like I need to stop talking about this for a while, as it seems to be popping up all over the place. In all fairness I love it. I got it in September, and it ran out in December. That might not be very long, but I do overuse it. You can use this for priming, setting and refreshing, and the Coconut water aspect makes it especially refreshing. This has been great for my dry skin, but it’s not so great if you like a matte finish. I have a full review on this, if you’d like to read more.

This was my go to foundation in Summer last year, and I used it pretty much everyday. I love full coverage foundation, but my dry skin doesn’t. This foundation contains comfort serum, so it isn’t drying at all; which is a huge bonus. It comes with a pump which is a huge bonus. The shade range isn’t the best, as there are only seven shades to pick from. If you want to find out more, you can read my review.
Repurchase? I haven’t, but I really need to!
When I first used this mascara I wasn’t much for it, but after a little while it becomes much better. It’s like it has to dry out a little before you use it. This mascara doesn’t clump, and it lengthens the lashes too. I apply two/ three coats of this to get the amount that I like, as I have short straight lashes. The brush is very similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, so if you’re after a budget friendly one, then this is one to look at.
Soap and Glory | Thick and Fast Mascara
I got this for Christmas in a set in 2016. Even though it’s been empty for a while it’s been sat in my mascara tub at the bottom of the pile for a while. (For some unknown reason). I wouldn’t say I’m blown away with this, and it’s definitely not my favourite mascara, but it isn’t the worst. It’s great at lengthening the lashes, but it does transfer throughout the day. I have another one of these that I got in a 2017 set, that I still use occasionally.
Repurchase? No. It’s good, but the transfer is annoying.
If there’s something I talk about a lot on this blog, it’s this night mask. It has well and truly earned it’s place on my favourites page. I got this in December last year, and it ran out in late June of this year. I don’t want to go into too much detail here, as I have done a full review on it, so going over it all again, doesn’t seem to make much sense. After using this, my skin feels instantly hydrated and feels a lot better in the morning. Plus if you like the smell of bananas then this is for you!
Revolution | Conceal & Define Concealer
I’ve never spoke about this concealer on my blog before, but it’s been well and truly loved. There was a lot of hype around this when it was first released, as it’s supposed to be a dupe for the trusty Tarte Shape Tape. I have the shade C1, and I find that isn’t quite pale enough, so I’ll probably try the newer lighter shade of C0.5 next time. With concealers I always set them with powder, as this makes sure it won’t crease. This is the kind of concealer that needs to be set, so that’s something to keep in mind. I wouldn’t call this full coverage, but more medium with a matte finish. There are 25 shades to pick from and it costs £4
Repurchase?: Once I’ve got through some of my other concealers
This has been on my wish list for absolutely ages, and I’m gutted I didn’t try it sooner. It’s pretty much everything I’ve been looking for in a foundation. The only downside is the price, and I’ve gotten through the bottle pretty quickly. The added coconut water is amazing for hydration, which is exactly what my skin needs. I love the finish this gives, as you’re left with a really subtle glow that seems really natural, but you get amazing medium full coverage depending on how much you’ve applied.
I first mentioned this in my Night time skin care routine from December, and I have been using it ever since. Pretty much everyone raves about this, and it’s clear to see why. At first I thought £18 was a bit steep for a toner, but for the results it’s pretty worth it. I’ve really notice an improvement with my skin, as it’s smoother and has more of a glow to it than usual. I hated the scent at first, but after continued use, I got used to it, and for the past couple of months I’ve not even noticed it.
Repurchase?: Maybe in the future, but I want to try other Toners first
Since I’ve recently done a full review on this, I won’t go in to too much detail here. This is a very lightweight moisturiser, which absorbs quickly, so you aren’t left feeling sticky. It smells amazing, and the scent does linger for a little while which is good. For £8.50 this has lasted me a long time, considering it’s best to be used daily.
That is all for now!
