Primark Ultra Glow Brunch Club Highlighter Review

Primark ultra glow highlighter compact open on a white background.

Considering I claim to love highlighters it’s been a very long time since I’ve reviewed one here on my blog. After a trip to Primark I somehow found myself in the makeup section, and this highlighter jumped out at me straight away. From the sleek packaging to the shade… and the £3 price tag.

I’ve been testing it for a few weeks now and I’m ready to share my thoughts.

This is my Primark ultra glow brunch club highlighter review.

The Packaging

Primark ultra glow highlighter compact on white packaging. The compact is closed to show the outer packaging.

The back of the Primark ultra glow highlighter

The sleek black round packaging reminds me of the classic MAC compacts. It opens with a little button on the front and shuts firmly with a click. It feels sturdy, so I’m not worried about the powder smashing.

The Shade

Closeup of the Primark highlighter

I have the shade Brunch Club which is a light champagne. At first I was a little worried that this would be too dark for me, but it works out just fine. Spoiler Alert: As you’ll see from the swatch, it looks very dark, but on the cheek it is much lighter. I’m not sure if there are any other shades available, which isn’t very helpful I know. Sorry about that.

The Pigment

If you like a subtle sheen then you will love this. There’s no glitter, it just leaves a nice sheen to the cheeks. Unfortunately, I love a glowing highlight and this just isn’t that. I’ve still been making this work, as I use this and then go over it with a topper. I go over it with ‘Spoon’ from ColourPop which is more of a glitter topper anyway, and I’m good to go. I also have no problem with it fading throughout the day.

Swatch of the Primark highlighter

Seriously can’t get over how dark this swatches. It’s not that dark when applied.

The Price

This highlighter will set you back £3. Which is about the same price, as the single ones from Makeup Revolution.

Is it Worth It?

Overall this is a really great highlighter. If you love something that leaves a sheen to the cheek then you will love this. I have been enjoying using it, even though it’s not as intense as I’d like. For £3 you really can’t complain.

That was my Primark Ultra Glow Brunch Club Highlighter Review.

Thank you for reading.

The packaging on this reminds me of MAC, and the pigmentation looks gorgeous. The swatch does look a lot darker than in the pan, but at least it doesn’t wear that way! And of course, I like the name!

It’s so similar isn’t it? It is a really pretty highlighter, and it’s weird how dark it swatches. It’s a cute name xx

Wow the pigment of this!! I feel like I’d use this as an eyeshadow instead of highlight though. It’s way too shimmery and I like more of a glow xx

This shade is everything, I really love champagne ones, I’ve got one from revolution that reminds me of this colour. It’s good it’s much lighter on the cheeks, it looks like it would add a good shine plus the price point is great. I’ve never tried primark make up before, definitely need to give it a go!

My sister has this and she’s always telling me to get it because it’s amazing. After reading your review I may have to pop to Primark and get myself one. I do quite subtle makeup because I’m not that good with makeup but I loooove a glowy highlight!!

Loved this post so much, you’ve definitely influenced me to buy it haha😉xx

The packaging really does look like MAC’s! The color looks beautiful and I prefer a subtle sheen so this sounds like it would be great. I wish they had more Primark’s in the US!

Real talk family dinner review!🤍 (Gifted/ invite) Real talk family dinner review!🤍
(Gifted/ invite)

We treated the kids to a meal out at weathervanemeirpark this weekend, and the family vibes were lovely. One of the biggest wins was that the staff brought over colouring pages and crayons for both kids without us even having to ask. Which is a lifesaver with two toddlers🥵

Noah and Ella were completely won over by the food. Noah cleared his plate of sausage, chips, and beans, and Ella was living her best life with pasta, corn on the cob, and chips (a toddler dream combo, let’s be real😂)

As for the adults, Jake loved The Big Melt burger. I ordered the Katsu Curry Feast, and we did have a little hiccup where my chicken looked a little pink, but I always judge a place by how they handle mistakes. The staff were absolutely brilliant, replaced it immediately, and even brought over a complimentary drink to apologise. Great customer service honestly makes all the difference.🫶🏻

It’s a super welcoming, stress free spot if you’re looking for somewhere to take the kids this weekend.

Swipe to the very end to see Ella making sure no ice cream got left behind😂

What’s your ultimate go to meal when you eat out with the family?🍽️
