The Hype Check: Looking Back at Early 2022
I originally shared these beauty and lifestyle favourites back in February 2022, right after hitting a massive social media milestone and navigating a crazy winter season. Today, my blog has beautifully evolved to focus on cosy lifestyle, family updates, and highly intentional consumer habits.
Looking back through the archives, I remember how incredibly glad I was to step out of that specific winter season. Motivation can slow down so easily in the colder months, especially when you start the year dealing with a bout of COVID.
But looking back at this snapshot of my life, it was a massive period of growth, intentional project panning, and choosing pieces that feel truly special. Let’s dive back into the beauty discoveries, everyday jewellery staples, and major life highlights that stood out.
Charlotte Tilbury | Pretty Blushed Beauty
Discontinued

It still cracks me up that back in 2020, I confidently claimed that I was completely over face palettes. Fast forward a bit, and this exact face palette ended up being my absolute favourite beauty purchase of 2021, remaining a firm staple well into 2022. While Charlotte Tilbury has since discontinued this specific gem, using the bronzer, blush, and highlight daily taught me the true value of an all in one, travel friendly compact.
Too Faced | Sweet Peach Palette
Discontinued

I won’t go into too much repetitive detail on this iconic palette, because it was pretty much all I talked about back then. I heavily focused on hitting pan on this during my project pan, reminding me how rewarding it is to use up what we already own.
Morphe | Continuous Setting Mist
I included this setting mist in my rotation to help melt powders into the skin and give everything a smooth, skin like finish.
While it doesn’t hold the absolute maximum locking power of heavy-duty sprays like Urban Decay’s All Nighter, the ultra-fine, continuous mist application makes it an absolute joy to use for seamless blending on low-key days.
Lights Lacquer | Paper Snow

White is traditionally my Summer colour, which is why I was surprised by how much I loved wearing this in the dead of winter. Paper Snow is a true, bright white with a rich cream formula. While it takes two precise layers to achieve an opaque finish and needs a good top coat to prevent standard weekly chipping, there is just something I love about white nails against a cozy knit sweater.
ColourPop | Koosh Super Shock Shadow
Discontinued

I pulled this old favourite back out after realising another cream shadow in my collection had dried up, and thankfully, this one still worked flawlessly. Koosh is an incredibly pigmented, metallic light gold with a bright icy-silver shift running completely through it. Though ColourPop has since retired the shade, it remains a gorgeous reminder of their legendary bouncy formula.
Daisy Jewellery | Estée Lalonde Goddess Medallion T Bar Necklace

I always wanted to be the type of person who effortlessly wears beautiful jewellery daily, but I used to constantly forget to put pieces on before leaving the house. That all completely changed when I received this stunning T-bar medallion necklace for Christmas.
It quickly became the one signature accessory I rarely ever leave the house without. The weight and craftsmanship are beautiful quality, it effortlessly compliments every single outfit, and it looks incredibly rich and golden in person.
I Hit 10k on Instagram
I still remember the absolute shock of typing out this milestone. Hitting 10,000 followers on Instagram felt completely surreal, and it’s a moment I am still deeply grateful for today. Building a community around a shared love for everyday beauty and family lifestyle content is the most rewarding part of running this space.
The Low-Buy Reflection
Looking back at these past beauty and lifestyle favourites shows just how much beauty and blogging trends move over time. When we look past the constant loop of new makeup launches, we get to appreciate the signature jewellery pieces that stay with us for years, the project pan milestones, and the milestones.
Let’s chat in the comments!
Do you have a signature piece of jewellery you wear every single day without fail? What were your comfort favourites back in 2022?
Thank you for reading!

Its a shame you don’t find the morphe setting spray makes your makeup last any longer, I’d heard great things about it but I need all the help I can get with longevity so I’ll stick to my ELF one!

It is a great spray, but yeah, I don’t think it prolongs makeup to last all day and night. All day maybe, but not for the night too. I’ll have to look into that one xx
Those palettes are gorgeous!!

So glad you think so xx
Oooh! I’m looking for a new eyeshadow palette. That looks pretty. Is it really pigmented, too? And ColourPop is awesome. I recommend their glitter gels.

It’s not the most pigmented thing in the world, but it’s not, not pigmented either. If that makes sense. Instead it feels like it’s very hard to go overboard, but it builds beautifully. Without much work at all. Oooh I’ll look into those ones xx
Huge Congrats on hitting 10K! You’re so consistent and put in a huge effort daily!
I’ve never seen that CT palette before and it’s gorgeous! I love that Morphe Mist – better than a lot of more expensive ones that I use! x
Beautylymin
That means a lot to me, thank you so much!
I’m so sad that it was limited edition. It’s such a lovely mist, such good value for money xx
I’m so happy to hear your project pan is going so well! I’m actually going to upload my pp update this tuesday! I’m actually surprised by how well I’m doing. I guess it’s easy to use up a product when you focus on using it up. Again, CONGRATS on hitting 10k. You work so hard on your content, and you deserve it xx

Thank you so much! It’s a good one xx
The Peach Palette made me click, lol. I got this pallet more than 5 years ago and I remember trapesing all over Kent, just to get my hands on it! When I did it was the last in stock, ha victory was mine AND it was as sweet as the palette. Mine has hardly made a dent in it and it is surprising the scent is still going strong!!!, I’m more of a nudes girl palette now. White nails for summer is a gorge look, I may try that again soon, thanks : ) xo
