Happy New Year! We made it to 2023, which means it’s time for me to look back at 2022 and share my favourites with you. Unlike previous years this one is pretty life heavy, as I haven’t worn a lot of makeup this year. Plus a lot happened, which means 2022 will always hold a special place in my heart.
These are my 2022 Favourites.
Natasha Denona | Glam Palette
I included this palette in my 2021 favourites, but I feel like I’ve gotten so much more use out of it this year. It’s been my go to for practically the whole of 2022. As neutrals and cool tones have my heart, and they’re what I reach for on a daily basis.
YSL | Libre Perfume
I feel like I’ve spoken about this a lot throughout the year, so I won’t go into too much detail here. However I really fell in love with this perfume. It’s one that I didn’t expect to love as much as I did, but I flew threw the bottle. If I receive perfume for Christmas, I’ll usually have half of the bottle left by the next year, but I was out of this by August. I’m not the best at describing scents, but it has citrus top and heart notes, with a vanilla and musk base.
Charlotte Tilbury | Flawless Filter
I know… I’m shocked too. For the first half of this year, I haven’t been too kind about this... to put it lightly. However, since I’ve been pregnant, I’ve loved it. I tried a new way of applying it, and it really worked. In fact I’ve received a number of compliments on my skin and how I’m glowing. Which could be the pregnancy glow, but I think this has helped massively. I still don’t think it’s an essential step to the makeup routine, but I have really enjoyed using it for the last six months.
Little Mix Confetti Tour
I’m still not over the hiatus, but I am extremely happy that I was able to go their last tour. I’ve been a Little Mix fan for as long as I can remember, but this was my first time seeing them live and it was such a great day.
Cyprus
Cyprus will always hold such a special place in my heart, for all of the memories we made there. It’s where we spent our Babymoon, and it’s the place where we got engaged. We stayed at the Alexander the Great Hotel in Paphos and it was beyond dreamy. As it was so hot we didn’t end up doing much other than laying by the pool, but I loved every second of it.
Pregnancy
I can’t believe that we’re approaching my due date, and I’ve been pregnant for practically the entirety of 2022. Some days have been harder than others, but overall I feel blessed as I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve had no extreme symptoms and I’ve been classed as low risk the whole way through. It’s been a really enjoyable experience and I’m beyond grateful for that.
Getting Engaged
I still can’t believe that Jake managed to completely surprise me with this. He proposed whilst we were on holiday and I did not see it coming. I’ve always dreamt about getting married, but with the pregnancy I didn’t think it’d be happening anytime soon. However it looks like we’ll be planning a wedding whilst navigating life with a newborn and I cannot wait.
