Empties #8

Well, I didn’t realise it had been so long since my last empties post. The last one I did was back in July 2020, and I wish I could say it’s been long overdue, but it’s taken me a while to get a decent selection. Even though I can’t believe I’m on Empties #8. With moving house soon I wanted to get my empties posted, so I didn’t have to cart empty products around with me.

Clinique | Beyond Perfecting 2 in 1 Foundation

I absolutely loved this foundation. I’ve rarely spoken about it on my blog, as due to the shade I could only wear it when I was fake tanned. Which meant this bottle lasted a very long time. I have the shade Alabaster which is the second lightest, but I find that it can oxidise so I need to get the lightest shade if I repurchase. This foundation is full coverage without making the skin look cakey. It’s also luminous, and never leaves my skin looking dry. To apply it, it has a doe foot applicator rather than a pump.

Repurchase?: In the lighter shade yes!

Soap and Glory | Supercat Eyeliner

I have no idea how I haven’t featured this eyeliner in an empties post before. This has been my go to liner for years and I’ve been through countless tubes. Saying that it does last a long time, and this has been fading for a while, but I’ve been going over it with black eyeshadow. I find that this is really easy to apply and it lasts all day. I’ve just found out that this has been discontinued, and I’m very sad about it.

Repurchase?: If it wasn’t discontinued, then yes.

Bali Body | Self Tanning Mousse

This product was originally gifted to me, but all opinions are my own. I love this tan, and it is by far one of my favourite discoveries of 2020. I’ve already repurchased a bottle, and I’m thinking about trying the ultra dark version next time. This tan is the most beautiful colour and is very easy to apply. The guide colour makes it easy to see where you’ve applied it, so I’ve never had a problem with it going streaky. If you’d like to read more: I have a full review.

Repurchase?: I’m already half way through another bottle.

Glow Recipe | Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream

I got through this very quickly, and I loved it. Every time I did my makeup I used this as a base and it did a great job of keeping everything in place whilst keeping the skin hydrated. I loved the banana scent, even if it is very strong and a little on the artificial side.

Repurchase?: I really want to!

Anastasia Beverly Hills | Dipbrow Gel

I picked this up on a whim, as I noticed when I dyed my hair brown it washed my brows out a bit. Let’s just say I haven’t looked back and use it every time I do my makeup. I use this to lightly brush through my brows to set them into place and add a little more colour.

Repurchase?: I already have. 

Viktor & Rolf | Flowerbomb

We have a momentous occasion; I’ve finally used up a perfume! I know, I know, what an achievement. I’ve been trying to finish a perfume for ages now and it’s finally happened. This took me around two years to finish, and that’s with a lot of use. Flowerbomb is very floral and sweet, but not overpowering.

Repurchase?: As much as I love it I want to try some new scents. Even though I’ll miss this a lot in the spring time.

There we have it, that was Empties #8. Overall a very positive empties, apart from Supercat being discontinued; sob.
